Any Dandys fans here?

Hey, I'm a big fan of the Dandy Warhols, and I just wanted to know if there was anybody else here who really liked them.  Post your favorite album or song or person or summat.

Also a couple of their songs are pretty okay, and Dig! was a heck of interesting film.

I'm afraid I've found most of their stuff interminable. But at the same time, I can see how it resembles some of the music I listen to, and as such, can understand the attraction.

To be fair, they sold 'Bohemian Like You' to an ad campaign, which is one of the finest pop songs of our time.

I listened to them live on the radio once, and it was pretty horrific.

I love the Dandies.  They get a lot of rap for being insincere or sell outs.  Whether or not they are doesn't really concern me, they were one of the first bands that I listened to that my Dad didn't get me into and they occupy imporant space in my heart.  I think it's pretty normal but my favorite Dandies album is Thirteen Tales From Urban Bohemia followed by Dandies Rule OK, which I picked up in some ratty-ass record store down an alley in a Dutch college town.

The universal Dandys opinion seems to be "meh"

I quite like them. 13 tales is great.

A lot of people don't realize that one of the benefits of playing music is the money.  If it's your job, wouldn't you rather make a lot of money?  It's not selling out, it's getting popular and using that to an advantage.  Not saying this to anyone here, just in general.

This is what I've thought, with some noteable exceptions.

If I ever end up as a rich and famous musician, then any b-sides and gubbins left in my recording vaults will be open to my family to flog in times of need. Fuck credibility, if my baby's gotta eat...

I saw them live the other week, at the V Festival. They were ok-ish.
