QC, THE VIDEOGAME!
« on: 06 Sep 2006, 02:45 »

I was perusing Gamespot when I stumbled upon THIS game and couldn't help but think of one of my favourite webcomics. I wonder if the game will have sections where you have to correctly insult the customer in order to advance, it would be funny.

Anyway, I just thought it was worth a mention.

QC would probably be more realistic if made into a dating sim.
[/sarcasm]
I just don't see how it would work, gameplay wise.

I can see totally see the QC dating sim - carefully pursue Dora while not getting pummeled by Faye, or  pursue Hennie while avoiding Faye+Dora or take the real challenge, and try staying true to course - pursue Faye while trying not to get hospitalised by all three :)

QC:  The only dating game in the world where if you win you STILL don't get laid.

By satisfying your customers, do they mean insulting them till they cry?

That would have to be an option for it to even be playable.

QC would probably be an RPG more than anything. That's why I implore all of you to go get RPG Maker and start making QC games.

If I had free time I would so download it and try to do it.

Wow, I'm so behind on this topic it's not even funny.

The way I see it, you'd choose a character and then play through a series of mini-games, ala Pirates!.

For instance, if you are Pintsize you have to make sure everybody around you is continuously weirded out. You can do this by telling bawdy jokes in C++, stealing underwear, filming people as they sleep, and so on.

If you play as Raven you must navigate the medicine cabinet you share with your roomate, searching for the proper cosmetic products to apply to your lips/face/hair.

If you play as Dora, you have to keep everyone uncertain of your sexual orientation by making moves on everyone in sight.

If you play as Hannelore, you must exterminate the germs in your apartment with your vacuum, some Lysol spray, and lots of moist towelettes.

If you play as Faye, you have to insure a high number of tips at Coffee of Doom by giving customers the worst possible service. You can switch their drink orders, insult them, delay service, and generally mess with their heads.

And of course if you're Martian, you play a dating sim.

Totally a tag-team fighting game ala Marvel vs Capcom. Think of the special moves! Vespavenger + Vespabot; Faye's face-scarring ridicule; samurai Pint-Size and the Roomba; the Dora + Marten pants-switch! (how that damages the opponent is anyone's guess).

I think any attempt at getting Hannelore involved would wind up being hilarious. Side quests would involve stalking Marten and planting love letters under couch cushions, where Pintsize finds them and wreaks havoc.

I dunno, you could probably make a few games out of the QC concept. Best idea would be a point and click (rather than an RPG, think it would work better).

Make a pre-Pintsize-laser-removal platformer for a handheld, where the sole aim is to cause major damage. Kind of like Rampage but with little robots!

A VespAvenger game where you right the wrongs of females everywhere with you VespaBot.

A game where you play as the Deathbot and surf the web... no wait, that would just suck.
