I've recently started playing WoW and me and few friends wanted to start a guild but have no idea over guild names, i was wondering if any of you guys could help me out.

nothing with the words Legion, Doom, or something like Council of BG. Pick something like, Hippykillers or Axed Axes....i dont know.....something that doesnt sound cheasy

I'm GM of a bunch of different guilds.

These include:

outsiders - first guild
is kind of a big deal - it puts the guild name under yours, do the math
union local 1337 - a play off of a worker's union leage (my pvp guild)
ClassCultureAndViolence - a misunderstood Rancid lyric

there's plenty of serious and not so serious names out there, have fun choosing what sits right with yuo and where you wanna go with it.

also, I'm on Eredar playername: Protojones (recent switch to horde, hehe)

anyone remember the old <Pie Vendor> trick with the orb of deception?

Just make <Pie Vendor> your guild name, toggle walk, pop the orb of deception, and move about the Barrens. See how many retarded lowbies right click you and flag themselves.

I am going to start a guild once Burning Crusade comes out.

We are going to be called "Legend" and I'ma push the guild to be the best goddamn guild on that server.

I am quitting WoW until Burning Crusade comes out.

Many hardcore raiding times ahead ! I quite some time ago, I'm considering restarting at burning crusade or something. Rather be sure of a great guild as I'm in for the raiding.

Orb of deception changes your character to look like one from opposing faction. Gnomes<->Tauren, Night Elf<->Undead, Dwarf<->Troll, Human<->Orc methinks. (although I'm not sure about dwarf and human)

Well i finally decided to call it blood brothers as the guy i was forming it with is a hardcore heavy metal dude, so the name had to be indie, while having something metal in it...."blood" =/

ah well it's doing alright so far 60 people

That is one of the most frequent causes of death for guilds. That and shitty management are on top.

the guild i started was called Myrmidion, I even made a rough logo for it, but it never went anywhere so I didn't update the logo.

the guild I'm in now is called Unicorn Girl Force. it rulz.

I wanted to found a corp in EVE (they're pretty much the same as WoW guilds) called "Mutually Assured Destruction"

Then I learned that such a corporation already exists.

why not make a reference to another famous Blizzard game and call yourselves "The Sons of Korhal"?

I play on a free server of WoW. My friend made a guild strictly only Gnomes and Dwarves only. Any other guild name you say cannot beat the guild name: The Lawn Ornaments.

I'm on Malygos server, and I think we've seen quite possibly, two of the best guild names.

Alliance side: "Grog Induced Pillagers"(now disbanded, though I thought it was a pretty amusing name)

Horde side: "Two Dollar Horde" (best horde guild ever)

all of which I thought were relatively decent names, although definately not as humorous as many I've seen if that's what you were going for.
