'I Was A Lover'-alike recommends?

So, the only TV On The Radio song I really like is 'I Was A Lover'.  I dig the falsetto, I dig the intimations of funk turned on their heads by the slabs of noise, I like the stiffness of the programming.  I like the moodiness.

May be a long shot, but any recommendations for stuff that sounds like this one song?

Woah woah woah. You don't like any other TV on the Radio songs?

Do you also hate America, young man? Do you also hate freedom?

I don't mind a bunch of their songs, but probably the only other song of theirs I like lots is 'Dry Drunk Emperor'.

You never know---this might be the situation Pandora was designed for.

http://www.pandora.com/

It's fairly self-explanatory in terms of directions.

Listen to 'Wrong Way'. It's hard to not like that song. I'm shocked you don't like 'Wash the Day'.

Ah.  Pandora.  May I direct you http://www.last.fm">here sir?    A website where similar artists are not judged by a select group, but by the community as a whole.  Also, free streaming radio with unlimited skipping of songs.

I use both.

I find Pandora more reliable than Last.fm's radio, though.

I really don't like the idea that a select group of indiviuals (albeit a highly musically intelligent group) can go and assign certain 'genes' to music.  I think that the collaborative process that drives Last.fm produces better results than Pandora.  Example:  I typed in http://www.last.fm/music/Don+Caballero">Don Caballero at Pandora, and it played me a track by http://www.last.fm/music/Obituary">Obituary.  Not exactly similar artists.  I also really like Last.fm's artist descriptions and sense of community.  Radio-wise, I also like Last.fm, because you have more options on what you want to listen to.  You aren't limited to just similar artists, you can listen to global tag radio, neighbor radio or others.  I have also found the new Last.fm radio client to be pretty reliable and much easier to use.

And, as I mentioned above, Last.fm doesn't have any pesky license issues so you can listen to however many songs you want in a given period of time.

Also, Pandora doesn't work at all if you want something that sounds just like one song. Last.fm works with everything you listen to.

Yeah, not a fan of Pandora.  If it could show you a list of qualities and you could rate the ones important to you it might work better?  Nothing here sounds like Prince going music concrete! :(

I haven't used last.fm to check out individual tracks before.  How does it work?   FWIW, 'I Was A Lover' is not available for preview on last.fm, does that matter?
