Of Montreal - Hissing Fauna, Are You the Destroyer?  is going to be big.  Sunlandic Twins big.  A little bird told me.

Post your predictions, with basis in fact or not, for 2007.

I am very excited about the new The Shins album, which comes out early 2007.

Also a new Wilco album, which is supposed to come out in spring 07...

The Postal Service supposedly is working on a new album that is to come out in late 07.

Finally, I believe I heard that Wolf Parade was recording an album this summer, the release date I am unsure of, hopefully it will be sometime on 07 though.

Mhmm, thats all I am aware of for 2007, as far as what I listen to.

The Weakerthans are officially one year overdue for a new album. I expect big things.

New Explosions in the Sky in February!

They recorded it this August in my very own home state of Minnesota.

Tommy mentioned it. The new Shellac album. It will be the best album of the year, no doubt.

Tommy, do you have any idea whether Spoke will be on that album? I ask because maybe you have more information than me, I only lurk irregularly at the Electrical forums...

This is a little premature.

And Of Montreal's album has already leaked. Plenty of little birds could have told you it's decent.

So I guess . . . what I took to be a little bird . . . was actually the album playing on my compy.  Thanks for clearing that up, dude.  I was so confused.

I direct you kindly to this thread.

Your silly indie pop cannot hope to compete with Testament.

Man, I haven't even gotten all the albums that I want from 2006 yet!  So far the only thing I know that is supposed to come out in 07 that I'm psyched for is Cursed's new one, creatively titled "III"...originally it was supposed to be out this year, but it got pushed back I guess...

I want/need new Arcade Fire.

Also, new Wilco, new Ted, and new Postal Service are also pretty high on that list.

good to see i'm not the only EA forumite!

'spoke' is on there apparently but 'hang on' is not.
obviously there are a couple we don't know but at the moment i think we will have 'end of radio', 'lullabelle', 'steady as she goes', 'paco' and some others.

Thanks a lot. Hang On would have been really nice, but I think I'll be happy for months with End of Radio alone.
And I don't really post at EA, I lurk and read stuff that interests me (or amuses me, such as Steve posting ORLY pictures). I'll start posting when I feel that I have something relevant to add...

There will be a new The Locust release in 2007 as well. Yay or nay? We'll see.

Kaddisfly - Set Sail The Prarie

Was supposed to be released this year but it's been pushed back to February. There's been a leak out for a couple of months now. GREAT album.

Wilco. Radiohead. Possibly even new Lucky Nine. All good choices.

I'm sure I'm not being too optimistic by expecting the Fiery Furnaces to come out with something next year.

I'd like to see a new Angels of Light album in 2007, but there aren't any announcements about one yet. Still, it wouldn't surprise me.

Valrus, you wouldn't be too optimistic if you expected it to come out next month.
