GO TEAM VENTURE! *da da da da dum*

I know there's technically a topic on the VB already but it's pretty old sooooo... MEGA SPOILERS ITT!

The season premiere aired on Sunday and it in no way disappointed. The first half was a brilliant bit of misdirection, making the viewer think the "new" Venture Brothers were Dr. Venture and Jonas Venture Jr. I figured Dean and Hank were clones from the hints dropped in the first season, but the reveal was still excellent. The death montage and mustache joke were the high point of the episode, I think.

It's also damn good to have the Monarch back. Every Monarch scene in the first season makes me laugh and it was the same in this episode too. The gorilla rape scene, making the jailbreak plans, and his escape were all hilarious. And there was a tiny agent! I wonder if it was Tiny Joseph or if there are a number of tiny agents out there.

The thing I expected least was to see #21 and #24 out of uniform at the Men Before Henchmen support group. haha!

I can't be the only one here who likes the show. Did anyone else see the premiere? Any predictions on what we might see this season?

I love the show.

For anybody that did not get to see the 2nd season premiere - it's on http://http://www.adultswim.com/adultswimfix/index.jsp">Adult Swim Fix.

I hope we get more Dr. Orpheus and The Monarch. Plus, more obscure super-villains and supervillainy.

(Also got a big kick on how #21 is basically a riff on Kevin Smith.)

"This Aztec calendar says today is your lucky day!"

The entire scene between Doc Venture, Hector, and Swifty was priceless.

For those interested:

Jackson Publick's blog. He and Doc Hammer are essentially responsible for the series so there's a lot of info to be found here.

Clips from future episodes.

Edit: It seems that Tiny Joseph was indeed credited in that episode, so that's one groovy mystery solved.

Oh, I love Venture Brothers. Dr. Orpheus is definitely my favorite character, though Brock comes in a close second. And you're right, the death montage was brilliant.

Venture Bros. and Harvery Birdman are all I ever watch on Adult Swim since they cancelled Home Movies. That show was classic.

but the music sucks because the keyboards don't have the cold/mechanical sound they had but a wannabe techno sound that it's pathetic for Rammstein standars.

Just some FYI...

Adult Swim picked up a third season of Venture Bros. The big news is instead of a 13 episode season, it'll be 26!!

Woot!

venture bros is not only the saving grace of adult swim, but the saving grace of television as a whole.

I bought the season 1 DVD set for my friend for Christmas, and it is sorely tempting me to just rip them open and watch it myself.
