Does anyone know of any Acousitic guitar players at the level of Justin King? ones who do entirely acoustic work?

I was just going to say Leo Kottke, actually. There's also Jake Shimbakuro, who plays the ukulele with skill only dreamt of by many guitar players. You might actually enjoy it. Search on Google Video for "While My Guitar Gently Weeps ukulele" and you'll find him. It's absolutely insane, and it actually sounds better than a lot of full-band covers of the original song.

(of course, George Harrison's favourite instrument was the ukulele so what else needs to be said?)

I've always wanted to build a solid-body electric ukulele and play it in a punk band instead of a guitar.

Or play it like a lap steel.

I said solid-body, mang.

Actually, I'd prefer to build my own. I want to open a shop someday and sell my own custom designed guitars.

Thanks for the Cello answer, and I do believe valley_parade should include in his Ukelele punk band a triple time cover of  Israel Kamakawiwo'ole's Somewhere over the Rainbow....

If you realise that you've made a spelling error, even if it is at 3am, wouldn't it make more sense to correct it than to write a sentence explaining it?

Here's the deal, though I recognize my spelling errors I can type upwards of 90wpm. That's basically 3 words every second. Now since there is only one delete key......it takes me longer to delete the misspelled word and retype it than it does for me to comment on it..

Or you can just type 80 wpm and get a high accuracy rate 'cause you're fast on the delete key, like me.
Heck, i can delete and correct typos without even thinking about them. I just did that twice.

I've been lent a Jackson Browne acoustic album (which I promptly ripped to my computer, suck it, feds) and I dig it. James Taylor is an obvious choice as well, and if you're really hardcore, go grab some of the Corries (preferably their live work). Two dirty-minded Scots folk musicians playing acoustic guitars, mandolins, and bodhrans. Their dirty-minded cheekiness only shows up in the live stuff though, so that's why I suggest that.

A lot of the Beatles' album Let It Be is acoustic, and even when it's not acoustic-like, it's easy listening.

I apologize for bumping this...but I had to add Erik Mongrain, Rodney Branigan, and Justin King.  Kinda flashy at times, but Erik Mongrain in particular just moves me.

Wow, thanks a lot for sharing that Jake Shimabukuro video.  That was very nice to wake up to on a Sunday morning.  That's right up there with the original, and with Paul Gilbert's guitar solo on the live version from the band Yellow Matter Custard with Neal Morse, Mike Portnoy, and Matt Bissonette.

I don't think I saw anyone mention this, but one acoustic act I enjoy quite a bit is California Guitar Trio.  I don't own any of their stuff, but it's good, from what I've heard.  And they did a tour with Tony Levin, I believe, and that's always a mark of goodness.

I don't know what year your ES-135 was made but the new ones have P100s.  Which are stacked humbuckers

Glad to be of service. He's got an album out (just go to the jazz section in FYE, that's where I found it) and all the music I heard from it is epic stuff.
