I'm considering getting drunk so I can shout at you for six pages for not having heard Motorhead.

Follow-up: Jesus Christ. Ted Leo and the Pharmacists. I have been listening to Shake the Sheets and Tyranny of Distance for the past hour or so and I can honestly say, GOD DAMN. At the moment I'm listening to "Timorous Me" and I've decided that I am in love with this man.

The Eyeball Kid, dude, posting Mitch Clem strips is my job!

Thats the only one I ever post. None of the other ones are relevant to my life ever, unlike QC strips.
Also I don't get any of the other jokes
Except the one about Guitar Wolf
Who also rock
S-K were okay live, but not as good as Ted Leo in a tiny venue

Motorhead is about as far from Hawkwind as possible.

I don't know them musically, but Micheal Moorcock wrote about both Lemmy and Hawkwind, and wasn't Lemmy in Hawkwind? My knowledge of these bands comes from fantasy novels, mostly

I never heard Motorhead.
Springsteen and the Hold Steady are all the rock i need, though they often have organs, pianos, and keyboard bits. but in moderation

Lemmy used to play bass in Hawkwind, and sing sometimes. Michael Moorcock also used to be in Hawkwind. He mainly shouted deranged shit about wizards.

It's kind of funny because I stopped liking QC quite awhile ago, but I still read the strips out of habit.  The forum is pretty kickass, though. :-D

Micheal Moorcock

LOL MOORCOCK

All I have by Hawkwind is the Space Ritual 2-disc live album. And don't get me wrong, I like their music and all of that, and the idea of space rock is generally badass (especially with their execution of it). But the theremin-sounding thing needs to bugger off. I'm sorry, but this isn't Ray Bradbury's The Martian Chronicles made into a movie soundtrack.

I will be sure to grab some Motorhead though before I leave for the States on Friday. That'll be good shit.
