So (bear with me here, this'll take a while):

- Plugged in my PSP, camera and mobile phone sync cable.
- Glitch, glitch, glitch.
- Uh oh, the USB ports don't work anymore.
- Uh oh, that means no keyboard/mouse/input of any kind.
- *************************** (large string of obscenities)
- Fiddle, scream, pray (seriously), went to bed. I'll fix it in the morning.

- Wait, my BIOS works, but XP doesn't. My keyboard must be broken.
- Rush out, buy new keyboard (and Call Of Duty 3 - got sidetracked)
- Unpack keyboard, despite no warning on the packaging: IT"S NOT A USB KEYBOARD!!!
- **************************** (again)
- Insert my XP disc, reboot: "Please press a key to boot from disc".
- ***...
- Play Wii to calm down, come back, WTF? Hey, my keyboard's working (but only in BIOS, not XP)
- Scream, eat chocolate, reinstall Vista RC1.
- Welcome to the future! XP? Fuck XP. Pass the Wiimote.

My USB ports constantly tell me they can't recognize a device. This happens to ALL USB devices, and seems completely arbitrary. I can shut it down for half an hour and have it work perfectly, or it can fuck up for a week and start working again when it feels like it.

I seriously do not know what the fuck is going on. Luckily I have had a good run lately.
