I just couldn't get into it.  I loved Metroid Prime 1 it was an awesome game that was very well done.  But Echoes just seemed...well bleh.  I don't know what it was but I just didn't get the same feel from it that I got from Prime 1.

I actually never finished the original, so I never got the sequel.

Metroid Prime 2 was superior to the original in every noticable way except the story.

I enjoyed it.

I didn't care for it either.
Just didn't have the entire MP charm.

I wanted to like both MP games, but after a few hours I grew very apathetic. Trying to figure out where to go in 2D games I don't mind, but in 3D it becomes a giant pain in the ass. More than once I couldn't tell if my lack of progress was due to not having obtained an item/ability, or if I just sucked.

Keep Metroid and Castlevania in 2D where they belong.

I think moving Metroid into 3D was a great move.  Especially since the enviroments in MP1 were so amazing.  I mean when you get down to it, MP1 was such a beautiful game.  From the enviroment to the enemies to the gameplay it was all just so terrific.
