Well, I mean, one can only go so far in a thread with "lol penis," amirite?

(I really am curious as to how the thing sounds and plays though!)

I like how you're talking about the wood makeup of the guitar...

Are the $20 junior sized classical starter guitars that they hand you in primary school. So much fun to play. More fun to play than any other guitar I've ever played.

Oh man do I ever want one of those to install a pickup in.

It won't work, nylon strings don't produce an electrical field when they vibrate over a pickup, and you'd have to completely remove and reposition the bridge (requiring a lot of dicking around and the construction of a special jig) to be able to use steel strings with any hope of having non-shit intonation. Sorry mate :B

What, one of those vibration-sensitive guys? Well, it depends on what kind of sounds JohnnyC wants to get out of that guitar.

You could dope the string in something that conducts and then run a current through them. It'd sound completely different but I'd like to hear it. Has anyone tried running a current (oscillating? the out from an oscillator or some other guitar maybe?) through their strings?

[edit]actually, guitar strings are coils aren't they? damn, solenoids give you parallel magnetic fields rather than circular ones surrounding the string.

DynamiteKid: is there some site somewhere that has a bunch of rambling and vague articles about getting drones or other not typical guitar noises out of a guitar?

Oh shit, guys, I have an emergency here. This is what happened:

So the housekeeper was mopping around an area that we've told her about 50 times not to do ANYTHING around, because it has all of my guitars in it. But she didn't fucking listen and decided to mop there anyway. She knocked my Squier Strat over into my '53 Kay acoustic and dropped the mop in the bucket, splashing water on the back of the acoustic. This water contained floor cleaner. The floor cleaner in the water has completely fucked up parts of the finish on the guitar.

Is there any way for me to fix this with the limited resources I have here in Albania, or am I going to have to take her to the States and have my dad take care of it?

I couldn't come up with a good girl's name for my guitar, so I just call it "23".
