This is an example of a general principle in education:  Make absolutely, positively, beyond a shadow of a doubt sure that you punish ALL POSSIBLE innocent people, and maybe, if you're lucky, a few guilty ones.

Random thought I had because I just re-watched the Blackwater episode - I'm not a big fan of Stannis because of the whole 'serves an evil fire god' thing, but his "Come with me and take this city" line in that episode is one of the most badass moments on television.

Currently reading A Dance of Dragons: After the Feast, and Stannis has become one of my favourite characters. He may not be personable, but he certainly is just, he definitely has the velvet glove over an iron fist thing down to a tee.

I'm guessing that 'Bron' is Bronn, Tyrion's mercenary buddy, and 'Brean' is Brienne, the lady-knight with a crush on Renly. Right?
(Not trying to be some kind of elitist or book purist, just trying to clarify.)

It always bugged me a bit that most people say "true neutral" instead of "neutral neutral".

I always go by the chart:

lawful good       neutral good      chaotic good

lawful evil         neutral evil        chaotic evil

So it's neutral neutral. True neutral is not a thing, so I can see why you're annoyed.

And now I can't find an example of that anywhere. Meh, oh well. I prefer my way, because if it's a chart of the characteristics of lawful, neutral, and chaotic with the characteristics of good, neutral, and evil, it should just be neutral neutral. Although I guess neutral or 4e unaligned works just as well.

The Purple Wedding will happen a lot sooner than episode 9, which is when a lot of people seem to think it will be happening. More like Episode 2, "The Lion and the Rose." I've thought that it would be early ever since I saw an interview where Benioff said the season would have multiple climaxes.

As someone who is planning to enter theatre as a profession, I don't like when people assume actors have to be anything like their characters. It's a disservice to their talent and to the art form.

Dude, I didn't mean it as an insult nor do I mean to imply that he is as despicable in real life. He has done a fantastic job of playing that character and really I'm just hoping he doesn't get stuck being typecast because of it. He's young, he could have a fantastic career after this, but you never know.

But seriously, reading the books, his death was one I was eagerly anticipating. It's not like the Starks or the Baratheons, who were a bit shocking and sad, I was waiting for him to get what was coming to him. There are a few others I'm waiting for as well and when their time comes to die, I will be happy. Not because I hate the actors, but because I hate the characters. And considering that hate is translating very well from the book to the show, the actors are doing a pretty good job.

I'm really looking forward to seeing the Duel between Oberyn and The Mountain, although I'll be once again kinda disappointed by the outcome.

That aside, does anybody remember if Oberyn was into dudes in the books aswell? I was really surprised when I saw the new episode, because I couldn't remember that being in the books at all.

Honestly, it's the best possible outcome. Tyrion couldn't get out of another trial through combat, so Gregor had to win. At least he still died (possibly temporarily, but slowly and painfully) and confessed first.
