I think my DVD drive is fucking up.  i can not play any cd or dvd based games without stupid long loading times (spiderman 2 took five minutes) and any movie i watch outside of Windows Media Player stalls uncontrollably.  not to mention that the movies i DO play in media player have the sound all fucked up.  can anybody help, or point me in a direction of help as to what i can do?>

What version of windows are you running, if it's an older version you mighty need to enable DMA on the drive if you navigate to the drive in device manager there should be a tick box burried somewhere in there.
