I'm not quite sure what i want to see up there.
I'm pretty sure though that Regina Spektor and Lilly Allen will be right up there with all their recent play on jjj.

I want to see some ground components up there, despite the fact they were pretty crappy live.

As for Eskimo Joe, while they are still really only counted as a three piece, they've taken on those extra members (i think theres like 7 of them all up now), much like silverchair has done.

I'll be heading out to the countdown at hyde park.

I think mostly the reason the guy who plays piano in Eskimo Joe isn't given any credit is because he's basically just a session musician and doesn't write the piano lines. It'd be the same as bitching about the horn section not getting any credit for making all those Beatles songs sound nice.

I really have no idea what's gonna be in the Hottest 100 this year. I just can't think of one clear contender for the Number 1 spot.

My (somewhat tongue in cheek) vote went like this:

Augie March - One Crowded Hour
Bliss N Eso - Up Jumped The Boogie
Coldcut - True Skool
Hard-Fi - Cash Mashine
Herd - Unpredictable
Hilltop Hoods - Clown Prince
J Dilla - Workinonit
Mason - Exceeder
Michael Franti - Yell Fire!
Tool - Vicarious

Some of those songs I like. Some of those songs I can't fucking stand. You be the judge.

Michael Franti better be right up the top there. I forgot how much I loved that song.

Eskimo Joe are pretty nice blokes. I served them chips and gravy during their soundcheck.
Still, not a fantastic fan of their stuff.

What I am hoping for is Little Birdy, Lily Allen and maybe OK Go.

Really? I bought their album on the strength of their live show at the Valley Fiesta. I actually prefer them live.

I'm not going to speculate. Maybe Jet will win again? I really only listen to JJJ on Australia day, so I never have accurate guesses.

Ohhhhhhh man I totally forgot to listen.

Still, that is a nice line-up. I can't really see anything that I would hate to be on the CDs when they get out.

Augie March were definitely worthy but completely out of left field as number one. Surprised to see Regina Spektor in twice... Definitely considering buying the album for the first time.. Super happy that The Grates had like 4 songs in.

When I heard "Crazy" I was very very surprised that that wasnt number one.
