I'm pretty into the Arctic Monkeys; although you've probably never heard of them.

but the music sucks because the keyboards don't have the cold/mechanical sound they had but a wannabe techno sound that it's pathetic for Rammstein standars.

I'm a big fan of Cradle of Filth, but they're probably way too underground for any of you.

Personally, I think the Osmond brothers define the American underground.

Puppy Love is fucking anthemic.

Stop pretending to like bands nobody has heard of before.  Seriously dudes, if one band has been consistently rad and awesome throughout the years, it's The Offspring.

Guys, I just discovered this really awesome new band, you probably have never heard of them but they're soooo great I want to share them with EVERYONE!  They're called "Beetles" I think?  Something like that, anyway.  Anyone else know of them?

But come on guys, THE SHINS! They are like, wow, they need to be mentioned more often in this thread, like, once every post. Ok? Let's do that. Everyone mention the (INDIE GODS) Shins like I just did, because clearly they are akin to Cronus, the greek titan who ate his children and was castrated by his son Zeus.

Guys, have you heard of Nickelback?  I recently found out about these guys through the internet!  Apparently they're from the same place I live, so I just can't figure out how I've missed out on them so long.  Their music is just fucking incredible, the perfect blend of heartache, anti-establishmental anger, and anthemic riffs.  I just can't get enough of it!  Which is perfect, since every time I turn on the radio, they seem to be playing it, or at least something so similar, even I, a new hardcore Nickelback fan, cannot tell the difference.

Everybody's trying to outdo each other with indie boy sarcasm.

Don't you know?  People are actually buying Shins albums now, so they officially suck, and you are no longer cool to like them!  It doesn't matter how much you enjoy listening to them, you are no longer permitted to enjoy them, because WE SAID SO!

Anyway, there's this really cool band, this totally new development in music that nobody's heard of before.  Some European band named Beethoven!  The guy's freakin deaf and he's still amazing!

Seriously though.  One day, classical music will be considered cool again, and on that day, hipsterdom will have officially collapsed in on itself.

what the hell is hipsterdom, and why would classical music cause it to implode?

Did I sound like this when I started posting here?  I'm really sorry if I did, because it must have been so fucking annoying.

Anyway dude, it's alright to like The Shins.  In fact, I'm pretty sure we're making fun of ourselves in this topic.
