I haven't exactly been purchasing a lot of albums.  Mostly p2p.  I think the last album I actually paid for was Cancer by My Disco

I just ordered the four Tarentel Ghetto Beats on the Surface of the Sun LP vinyl only collection, and I recently picked up the first Arcade Fire album, Beirut's "Gulag Orkestar", and Broken Social Scenes "Feel Good Lost" all on LP for my new turntable. Now I just need to find a receiver.

bad person u...... im not gonna be hipocritical, cause i do download some stuff, but if i like the artist i buy the album, and support them... dont complain how record companies rip them off cause i know, but album sales do more for publicity than sales

but the music sucks because the keyboards don't have the cold/mechanical sound they had but a wannabe techno sound that it's pathetic for Rammstein standars.

Storm Rider: ...

guys

there is a band called HELL YEAH

that is literally their name

Hat: are they any good?

Storm Rider: the all caps is even part of it

Hat: of course it is

kai!: nice!

Storm Rider: i am assuming the worst,

but i do not know

Hat: you should assume it can go either way

Storm Rider: i saw them on itunes for some reason

Hat: I can see a band called HELL YEAH to be kind of good

or absolutely terrible

ruyi: huh

it would suck if they sucked

Hat: yeah

ruyi: actually

why aren't there more bands with allcaps names?

not that that would be good

but it seems like it should be overplayed by now

In the interest of adding context, I discovered the band on the little iTunes Store minibar at the bottom of the library and then looked them up on Wikipedia to find out that they're actually a horrible 'supergroup' made from the bastardized remnants of Mudvayne, Pantera, and Nothingface. Kai is downloading the album to take one for the team and see if it's funny or just plain horrible.

Stephen Merritt - Showtunes.

Some of the songs are pretty damn catchy in that silly, light-hearted kind of way. Behold the Lowly Centipede is kinda amusing, as is What a Fucking Lovely Day.

Still, most of the songs are a bit too short for my tastes and they kinda jangle on my nerves.
