Also, I mentioned this in another thread but A Sunny Day in Glasgow just put out a REALLY good dream pop album that's diggable if you're into static and noise.
Just heard this for the first time, it's quite incredible. A weird mix of mid/early 90s sounds - from UK dance stuff a la Orbital or the Sabres of Paradise to the noisy end of shoegazer bands - but all made cohesive (and even weirder) by the completely confrontational mix and the often really wonky tuning of things. On a couple of occasions there were so many layers of sound that I had to turn the speakers down to confirm that I wasn't overhearing stuff from outside.
