the Bad Brains are still together

but the music sucks because the keyboards don't have the cold/mechanical sound they had but a wannabe techno sound that it's pathetic for Rammstein standars.

If I lived relatively close, I would be there. But I could barely afford the tickets, much less airfare or gas and hotel stays...

I love that Baltimore gets a huge music festival now.  It makes me glad that I live 20 minutes from Pimlico.

Rar. I guess I'm not in a position to complain about my city not having enough awesome concerts. New York gets a stop on practically every tour.

However, we don't have any good outdoor festivals. We need more of those.

Note: Ozzfest and Warped Tour are not good festivals.

Ted Leo and I'm From Barcelona, among with some other bands, ARE playing McCarren Pool this summer, though, which is awesome. And another pretty awesome line-up is playing the South Street Seaport outdoor stage.

But we need something huge, like Pitchfork or Coachella.

New York gets no good festivals?

Across the Narrows, dude. Across the Narrows.

They had Tegan and Sara, New York Dolls, The Killers, The Lemonheads, Kasabian, Doves, Jet, Oasis, Mando Diao, DFA 1979, Rilo Kiley, Built to Spill, Gang of Four, Raveonettes, Polyphonic Spree, Belle and Sebastian, Beck, British Sea Power, Ordinary Boys, Pixies, and even more crap than that.

I hope they repeat this festival soon.
