Yeah, those things are pretty awesome, but the cooler thing is definitely that Guitar/Bass combo that has one neck I posted earlier in the thread.  Let me see if I can find it...
EDIT:

Yeah, that thing is crazy go nuts right there.

quite a large piece of wood there...

Multipost but I don't care.

I love being a tall dude. It's nice to play a Sheraton and not have it look like I'm playing Daddy's guitar or something.

I really need a semi-hollow to go with my Jaguar.  Preferably a Gibson ES-series (BUT I CAN'T FUCKING AFFORD THAT NOW CAN I BLARHA)

Vampire Weekend style there, Pat?

How does she play?

If you really need a semi-hollow, epi dots are pretty much the best guitar for the money epiphone makes...  actually probably the best guitar they make up until you start getting into stuff that costs twice as much.

So I went to Guitar Center for the first time as a guitar player (I'm sure I've mentioned I've been playing only 6 days).
Guitar Center sucks. It's the Walmart of guitar stores. Support local [guitar] businesses!

My brother works at WalMart. Not to go into a Walmart discussion (so try to resist urges to respond to this unless you really have to), They get benefits far earlier than my unioned Albertsons.

enough of that. Sorry. But trying other stores does sound like a lot of fun. I wonder, though, how many local stores would stock double neck electrics? GC only had one, though I know that's not necessarily an indication.

But any enthusiast has got to drool when confronted with that many guitars. Especially when at the first time as an enthusiast.

Okay the Dano has a fixed bridge and I don't know what size the strings are halp

Try .009s, if that doesn't work move to .010s.

Yeah.  I would kind of have to, since I'm trading in my current amp towards it.

Also, I played this Guild semi-hollow today, with alnico humbuckers and holy crap, it sounded amazing.  It also seemed like it was louder than a solid body.  Would the reason for that be the pickups having a higher output than the other guitars (A Strat with single coils and a Tele with P-90s) or does the sound get picked up better or something because of the body?

the semi-hollow body kinda acts like soundholes on an acoustic, amplifying the guitar's natural sound.

That said, i saw a dude busking yesterday with a fucking Guild Starfire, and another dude with a really nice Gibson acoustic. SIRS YOU ARE DOING IT WRONG

Once, after an SF Giants game (where we lost and there was dog shit everywhere because of it was Dog Day Afternoon at Pac Bell Park), there was a guy near the parking lot playing some blues licks with an amp. Yep.

There aren't any fuzz pedals in that list, actually.

The Tube Screamer is a tube overdrive simulator, and the Big Muff and ProCo RAT 2 are distortion pedals.

Fuzz is a whole 'nother circuit.

The problem (for me, anyway) with dream setups is that I haven't actually played most of the gear I would like to have, only from hearsay from other players/what I hear on records I like. But I'll take a stab at it.

Geetars (maybe just one or two of these):
Fender Lead II (already have, yay)
Epiphone Coronet/Wilshire/Whatever model it is
Rickenbacker 370
Fender Mustang
Fender Jaguar
Epiphone Casino/Gibson 330
Gretsch Country Gentleman/Eastwood Classic Six
Univox Hi-Flyer
Kustom K-200A

Effex (most, if not all of these)
Moog Moogerfooger Ring Modulator
Vox Wah Pedal
Boss Bass Synthesizer
Akai E2 Headrush Delay (Look Ma, I'm Ian Williams! Except I can't finger-tap!)
Electro-Harmonix Memory Man (Look Ma, I'm The Edge!)
ProCo Rat 2
Volume Box (Like a volume pedal, but with a footswitch and volume knob instead of a rocker pedal)

Ampz (Probably only one of these)
Mesa/Boogie Mark I
Orange Rockerverb 50 Combo
Sovtek MIG-50 w/ 1 or 2X12" cab
Hiwatt Hi-Gain 50W Combo or DR-103 w/ 1 or 2X12" cab
Silvertone 1484 Twin-Twelve

Yeah, my wishlist is huge.

No.  I live in a pretty small town, but in the next county over (Mecklenburg Co, NC; Charlotte's there) there are dozens of luthiers.  There's one or two in my town, even.  Some guy actually sat down in his shop and made John McLaughlin a 30 lb doubleneck guitar.  That's lutherie, not retail.

Well yeah. There are luthiers abound. But it isn't like I can go to them an pick up an Ampeg SVT4 Pro head or a Line 6 X3 Live from a luthier. I hate that Reliable Music and Music-go-round closed up shop here. One was near my work, the other not too far from the house.

I just used this as porn, is that okay?

Welcome to the last 3 years of my life, which I have spent compiling this list (and keep updating from time to time). I just did an estimate based on prices I've seen over the last couple years, and it totals out to around $30k. It's a hell of a lot more money than I'll ever make this year (although I'd like to, but then again who wouldn't) but it's worth spending ridiculous amounts of money on gear that I know I will use. Because you and I both know I'll use it all.

Dogg, solid-state Orange amps suck. Unfortunately.

I too wanted one at some point 'cause it was cheaper but still an Orange. But seriously they sound weasely.

ETA: I'm an idiot and for some reason read that as Orange Crush (which are solid-state)

EDIT: Yeah, they are, I just checked.  Plus, I've played through Tiny Terrors in multiple situations and they sound great.  I tried my Dano out through a Tiny Terror before I bought, got gorgeous clean tone.  And I'm sure it rocks the fuck out too, seeing as it is Orange.  Also, a mini-stack rocking two Celestion Vintage 30 1x12 cabs?  Damn straight.

I tried my Dano out through a Tiny Terror

Oh man, as far as I'm concerned, that's the ONLY way to play.

Dogg, solid-state Orange amps suck. Unfortunately.

I too wanted one at some point 'cause it was cheaper but still an Orange. But seriously they sound weasely.

ETA: I'm an idiot and for some reason read that as Orange Crush (which are solid-state)

Buddy of mine has the Crush 30R & I think it sounds damn good for an SS amp.

Guys, they're bringing out Tiny Terror combos.

I just creamed myself four times simultaneously.
