i rambled about her a bit on gabbly. her dad's african-american, her mom's korean-japanese, and she does hip-hop/pop in japanese and english.



pretty lady! anyways uh i like her musics so here are some youtube links:

so i guess what i am saying is, internets, i hope there are some of you out there who listen to her and maybe you can give me links to download some more of her music? pretty please? as an offering i give you some korean pop which is sort of not really related since it's not very hip-hop-ish: cracker: compilation for a bittersweet love story.

Akino Arai - Kirei na Kanjou Something in the vein of Eternal Memories. Thoughful and slow-paced.

And some random j-pop. Shallow and suggary but somehow tolerable. Yuki's might be specially good if you enjoy cute/ridiculous videos as well:

Seems Tokyo's going berzerk for her - her videos are playing on the big screens in Shibuya (the crossing where the dinosaur walks across in Lost In Translation, if you know what I'm talking about) and there're whole trains advertising her and so on.

Random Tully's endorsement... weirdly the other person involved in this same campaign is Ron Carter, a jazz bassist who did his most famous work in the 70s.
