You mean their tv show? I've seen the first episode online and it's awesome. But I would think that because I loved all their songs on YouTube.

I was going to make this thread but forgot to! Yeah I watched the first episode on Monday and I liked it a lot. I don't really watch TV - I know I have the potential to really get "into" shows but it is just not something I do. I usually watch Futurama on DVD or whatever. But the Sopranos (which my parents watched) ended and they were giving this a try and I read about it in the Times so I decided to, too. I thought it was quite funny and the songs were very well integrated. I liked the colors and how everything felt a bit hopeless, and the binary solo made me laugh. I'm going to watch again next week!

Whole episode is here:

I like the dryness of it all.  The line from the robot song that killed me was before the chorus when Bret goes "one more time with absolutely no emotion!"  Hot.

I thought it was hilarious.  I love stalker chick Mel.  And the fact that she's already married makes it EVEN BETTER.

In the New Zealand embassy there is a poster that says "New Zealand. Don't expect too much, you'll love it!". I lol'd.

I have their old radio show, where they would call Neil Finn every week, and just tell him their problems.

My favorite part of the series so far has probably been when they are making a Tape v. Bret list. Like, the tape is less hairy, but Bret has "stage presence."

this show is hilarious!  I especially love the creepy single fangirl they have that's always stalking them, but apparently also married.

I think this show it amazing, but I get the feeling it probably won't make it for a second season.

I love Flight of the Conchords! I think the stalker character is brilliant and well-played. I love that she's married and drags her husband around stalking.

"In the nude in front of you. Is that what you’d wanna view? If it’s cool with you. I’ll let you get naked too. It could be a dream come true. Providing that’s what you are into."

this is by far the best song on the show, so far. I almost started crying when I heard it.

I am still getting a feel for the show, but (as a David Bowie fan) I just loved their episode about Bowie.

I watched it once or twice. I thought it was pretty funny.

Nothing too special, but it still had some laughs in it.

Ahh, I'm glad this thread exists, it's actually one of my favorite shows right now.  They have a pretty large fan base, so I think they'll be back for a second season.

"We're gonna boom boom boom till the break of boom" made me laugh hysterically.  Also "you walk across the street, you don't know why did that you walk back across the street."  The show is so quotable...but I'll just stop there.

I think fruitkat was talking to me..

I just dont think it was funny. I was like "When is the funny going to happen?"I mean, I'm used to no laughtracks and all, but I kept sitting and waiting for a joke or a snide remark and all it was "Tally ho old chum, oh crap we dont have money for the band! What ever shall we do?" I think tally ho is an english expression and not australian, but I think you get the point.

Wow thanks for showing yourself to be ignorant to the fact that Flight of the Conchords are from NEW ZEALAND, NOT AUSTRALIA, and that they are in fact DIFFERENT COUNTRIES.
I have been following the Flight of the Conchords for a few years now, and they have amazing talent, possibly a sense of humour you are not used to. It is very dry, but that is what makes them special. I especially love all the things they comment on about life in America and people mocking their accents, because that is exactly what happened to me when I was over there (seriously I'm not Australian). I can totally relate to it. Some parts fall flat but overall I like the production of the series and think it is super cute and one of the best things I've watched in a long time. And it's just great to see Kiwis being successful overseas. :)

And my above post was a quote from the show. Hooray.

It was a funny quote, too.  Also, if anyone hasn't seen the standup show performance of the rhymenocerous vs. hiphopopotomus, you MUST because the part where Jemaine freestyles made me laugh hysterically.
