I am not usually made uneasy by pictures of deep-sea creatures, but this one did it.

Guys I replaced my tongue with an isopod years ago. All the cool kids were doing it. I mean c'mon, tongue piercings are so tame these days.

You'd have to buy me and my isopod dinner first. We don't just put out for nothing, you know.

I find it funny that the thread got bumped like this by a regular despite the fact that Jeph's been selling an isopod t-shirt and everything for a while now. The damned things are practically our mascot.

That isopod looks good in you. It looks good as part of your body.

I am sorry to post without a picture of one of these evil little creatures, but I will admit that the above phrase sounds like something the parasite's victims tell to people, or whisper into the minds of their host.

-As they swim gracefully about the ocean, the ratfish can be seen doing barrel rolls and corkscrew turns, as if they were flying.

No man just look at that thing

It's like at first it is still trying to hold up the charade that octopi can't walk, and is at least trying to disguise it, but when things heat up it abandons all pretenses and just sprints the fuck out of there

The slimehag/hagfish is also the only craniate (that is, critter with a skull) that doesn't have a vertebral column. It can also tie itself in knots.

Also, there's the buckets of slime thing.
