Has anyone ever given them a listen?

I've had their # 3 album for a month or two and I cannot stop listening to it.

I'm pretty sure the band is just two guys from...Sweden, I think. They sound pretty folk-y to me, in sort of a Neutral Milk Hotel way...only not. Their songs are much happier and less disturbing.

I've heard of them once or twice. I don't know anything about them, I've never heard their music, but their name is a lyric from the Silver Jews' classic American Water, so that's a plus.

I knew that much. I've actually never listened to that song, but I'll get around to it one day.

Man, "one day" is not acceptable. American Water is one of the greatest indie albums recorded, and the Silver Jews are one of the most criminally under-appreciated bands going around. You need to get onto that shit right now.

This man knows what he is talking about. American Water is almost a decade old, but it's still the best Silver Jews album. You know how Pavement is basically Stephen Malkmus with a bunch of people you don't know or care about?? Well, he actually plays the role of a sideman in the Silver Jews, which says a lot about how much he thinks of David Berman.

p.s. I still need to get Berman's poetry book. I've read a few of his poems and I loved 'em.

I just ordered it from Amazon. I can't wait for it to come in.

Anything else that is legendary that I have to listen to right now?
