My manager at McDonald's this summer would play TexMex-style Mexican music all day. It was AWESOME for me, I love that shit (Flaco Jimenez is my hero). Some of the customers? Not so much. They would complain about it and I would be like "Dude, it's worth it to see Olive (the manager) dance."
You know, I distinctly remembering entering a McDonalds a bit out of town, once, and that "Fake Empire" by the National was playing on the restaurant stereo... I was convinced that either I was in a dream, or that somehow the National had sold their soul to be played on McDonald's speakers...
