I did find it funny, but there were several sequences where I wasn't quite sure if I was laughing with the movie or laughing at the movie. *cough* The Amazing Emo Man! *cough*

I thought the movie sucked something awful. He was in the spider man costume for all of ten minutes in the movie. I don't want to see tobey maguire swing around and act emo I wanna see spiderman. The acting was awful, the writing was subpar at best. The best character was killed off. The only good scene was the big action scene at the end. The movie was just bad.

Why was it impossible for me to convince my friends that this was the case? Mary Jane was almost immaculately unlikeable from the get-go.

Beyond that, you forgot to mention the bit where he runs in front of the American flag. Easily the funniest film moment this year.

Yeah, setting Harry up the bomb was really the only "evil" thing he did. The rest was just funny, in a laugh-at-not-laugh-with kind of way.

Unless, of course, the cookies were evil, which I'm not entirely dismissing.

I thought the movie was pretty great although MJ did get too much screen time. Seriously, look at the other two movies and then look at the third one. I thought Spidey did finish off venom a bit quickly; the whole, "I'm smart, look! Sounds hurts it! I know exactly what to do! HAHA!" but it was great to see him dance like an idiot and then show off for MJ in the Jazz club place. Venom should have been a lot better and not have waited so long in the movie to finally show up. The ending scene when Harry dies was too chummy. He'd been holding a grudge for how long and suddenly he gets over it just like that to fight and die.

Yeah, but the thing is, typically a movie doesn't gross that much unless there's repeat viewings or a large amount of people. Hell, it outgrossed the original Star Wars and I've seen that in theaters like three times and I wasn't even born until seven years after its initial release.

My main concern is: the movie was critically panned and I know very few, personally, who really liked it. What happened here?! Who the fuck is seeing this movie twice?!

So you're saying get rid of the interesting villain in favor of the two dimensional pile of revenge driven shit that was filling a role that would've been much better served by the revenge story Harry'd been played into since the very first movie?

If they pulled out the entire idea of throwing in Venom in this installment, they could've served up the revenge angle with Harry and avoided that entire retarded "Oh, the butler knew what really happened for years but decided NOT to tell Harry."

All of my friends thought the movie is the bets movie they ever saw and now they all bought the Spider-man 3 video games, and they say I'm a partypooper cause I didn't like the movie
