I've had Let's Stay Friends by Les Savy Fav on repeat for the last few days and it's really making me happy.  It's completely incoherent as an album -- sometimes it sounds like they're doing TVOTR covers and others Tim really lets his id run wild, but every song on that album is between good and awesome.  I cannot wait to see them perform this live, especially since I am now the proud owner of a pair of glasses that automatically polarize when Tim exposes his ballsack (I got them off this blue dude, it's a long story).  Anyone else been listening to this?

These guys are my favorite band (my avatar gives it away i guess). I am so pumped to see them play Randall's Island with Arcade Fire and LCD Soundsystem. I've tried seeing them at the Bowery Ballroom a few months ago but I got turned down (because I'm 15 even though I went with my dad, who is actually really cool). There other shows are 18+ so I'm not going to even bother with those.

As for the actual CD, I haven't even listened to it. I'd much rather buy it but the truth is I've been playing their other so much (especially the Rome (Written Upside Down) ep I haven't been desperate for it.

Also, I know how to pronounce it but its still really hard to say. The first time I told my dad about them he thought I said The Savvy Five.  Which is wrong because duh they only have four people.

I have so much respect for anyone with the self control to wait for the release knowing the album is like three clicks away.  I am not that person.  Then again, I figure as long as I pre-order it's like I'm listening to the album properly but in reverse time.

Me too.  This show has to be good enough to make up for the fact that I didn't go see Daft Punk in Keyspan Park.  In other words, it has to rock my face off.

Oh man, thanks for the link. I was referring to the Daft Punk show before but this makes me even more excited! LSF are offering some nice deals if you preorder the CD. Both Insound and Newbury Comics are offering some free swag with the cd.

This new one is pretty awesome so far. It grabbed me when I used the first half of the album as background music last night while I was doing homework. I had to turn if off.
I think I'm going with the silk screen.
