So i've been reading her books for years now and they've really impacted my life. They sort of make me want to reconsider my decision NOT to become a serial killer.

Anyways, just wondering if anyone else has read any of her stuff and what your thoughts on it were?

I have read some Poppy Z. Brite.

She is pretty much the worst thing ever.

I know taste is subjective and all, but yes, I am serious, and I would say that anyone who likes Poppy Z. Brite has dire taste.  Sorry, I just find her to be almost physically painful to read.  Absurd sex-and-goth pulp fiction at its worst.

Hmmm, coulda sworn that Anne Rice was goth/ pulp fiction at it's worst. lol

I personally find Ms Brites writings to be beautiful and almost poetic. The images it makes in my head are gorgeous and violent. I'll always stay a loyal fan.
