Lets see them pumpkins
« on: 30 Oct 2007, 22:36 »

I have seen how creative folks here are with pen and paper, now lets see what can be done with pumpkins.

That's right, this is a thread for you to post your pumpkin designs or even just ideas, so lets get to it.

I didn't do such a great job on straight lines but I was on my third beer at the time and it only takes two to get me tipsy so I'm pretty proud of it.

Awesome. When I get back to my dorm, I'll take a pic of the one my roommate did for one of her classes. It's a cute little vampire mouse (done in marker actually...it was a drawing/painting class, on the last day, and it's on a pie-pumpkin, which i thought was hilarious. She didn't know the difference, hahahahahahaha...sorry)

I don't know the difference between a pie pumpkin and whatever the other type is, either.

Pie pumpkins are typically smaller and used (surprise, surprise!) for pies! Larger ones (there are a large variety) can be used for pies as well, of course, but there are ones sold specifically for Jack-O-Lantern use tend to have less gunk in them to clean out when you are carving.

I'm going with the better late than never theory. This was my first time carving pumpkins - the five of us had so much fun!

My Almost-Father-In-LawTM took this picture. I did the witch and the one in the middle of the bottom row that looks like it either has a bad headache or it just heard a really bad joke.

I am aware Halloween has been over for like 2 months.  But my birthday party was Halloween themed last night so I made my brother carve me a pumpkin. We are Australian and didn't know what we were doing!  It is an upsidedown bat!
