Even if they do, that's weeks before you get your fixed box back. Leave your 360 alone for awhile (she needs the rest), and try again tomorrow. If it's still spouting fire, call Microsoft and hope that their variable service quality is more up than down.

And if you played too hard it'd flop out and dangle around by the wire and that is just super ugly

Well, the good news is that from what I gather their CS concerning the 360 is quite good.

Yay?

Microsoft will cover the repairs, but you still have to send it in. From what I understand it usually takes around two weeks or so for them to get it repaired and sent back.

But dude, when you get it back and get Orange Box, we should totally get a QC TF2 game going on. I think maybe enough people have the 360 version that we could probably get an 8-man game together, or at least play as a 4 or 6 man team. This week is when the game releases start to kick off in earnest, but I will totally pull myself away from Super Mario Galaxy or Mass Effect for a QC game once every few days.

I would totally do the QC game.  Gamertag's in the gamertag thread.  As for getting it fixed, I sent mine in (which didn't have RROD problems, it just froze a lot for no apparent reason).  It took them 3 days to send a box out to me, with shipping label, foam padding, instructions, packing tape, etc.  I then sent it to them with the 3-day shipping label they gave me.  They realized it was broken and gave me a free replacement about 2 weeks after calling them about it.

I'm up for QCTF2 team, as long as everyone accepts my utter newishness and is patient in the early-goings.

Also I would like to point out that the combination of Sailor Moon and faux-Kerouac / Sonic Youth spelling is perhaps the purest distillation of what this forum is that we have yet been presented with.

I've gotten the red ring twice, both on the same one within the span of a year.

After the second time, I just bought a new one.
