That, and I'm a poor college student with a laptop (i.e., not easily upgradable).

But it does make a good Saturn emulator, which should be some sort of benchmark.

Because PC gaming is suffering a major recession and most people don't want to bother upgrading their PCs when their 360 will play all the same games already.
But the 360 controls suck. I used to be pretty good with dual-analog controls, but not nearly as good as I am with keyboard and mouse now. And I play an MMO, a genre which aside from FFXI, does not exist on consoles.

And I don't want to bother buying a 360 when my PC will play the same games already, you don't have to spend a huge amount to keep upgraded, some people just feel the need to keep on the bleeding edge.

Oh, and as I recall, 360 games cost $60 to the $50 of PC games, and PC versions drop price quicker usually.

I got really really high one day and decided to make a super duper awesome pub hero kill lots of people class in TDM. The results are as follows...
Scorp+silencer+m92+bandolier+lighting reflexes+steady aim.

Not bad for a piss about where I didn't stay still for a good five minutes straight.

I guess... I think the processor is the reason you can only run crysis on low, by the way, but you know that already.

I have spent $510 on this computer so far, and that is with me being stupid frequently, I want to spend another $50 on memory, but I am not going to be unable to play anything for a while still, I just want to get at least another gig, if not more.

And yes, the Skorpion is awesome. Was that a HC match, or normal? I am currently working on the skorpion, I don't quite have the red dot, but I have used the silenced version when I have seen it laying on the ground. There is a glitch that gives max damage out to longer ranges when it is silenced, and since it does 50 damage per shot, as much as an M14, that is pretty ridiculous. And it is beastly accurate, I got a headshot from the 2-story near the 3-story on crash to the other 2-story facing down the street, just took a hail mary shot on a guy standing still after lining up the sights, heard the sort of smooshy clink of a headshot and got a kill. And that with the crappy sights the gun had.

You're missing the point - you asked why everyone else has got it for xbox, and he provided you with the correct answer. I would rather play a game on my 360 than on my PC, because my xbox will run it without any hiccups, I don't have to install the games, it will run all the games designed for it, and I'll never have to spend a dime upgrading it. Most people don't have a lot of time or money to put into gaming - and really, it does cost a fair bit keeping a PC up and running for the newest games. I upgraded my PC a fair bit not so long ago - from 1gb to 4gb RAM, Geforce 8800GT, new tower, motherboard and power source, only really keeping my CPU of the crucial parts - 3.2Ghz P4 DC - and I can still only run Crysis on low settings! I spent nearly twice as much money on my PC as it would have to buy a 360, and the game I essentially upgraded it for STILL looks bad. A console is without comparison the most economically viable option for casual gamers, your take on peripherals and control systems have literally nothing to do with this whatsoever.

There is some mod out there called something like "TripleCCC" or something.  Basically what it does is tweak everything so you can run it better and faster.  Before that mod, I was running everything on high at 1024 at about 40 frames a second.  After, I was running almost everything on very high with 2xAA at about 50 frames a second.  It also redoes the shadows to look better.

Such even teams, too.

Looks to me like it was about half low level people on the winning team, I don't think those commanders have any excuse besides just doing horrible, I have had really off rounds like that.

They were mostly lv 55 with as many people, Scorp is awesome but texture penetration is shit. Always has been my favourite gun and I am surprised about doing okay in a crowded server, I play shit in packed pub but 2v2 and 5v5 HC is where I play well.

Yeah that was an HC server. I play shit in regular, the screenshot was just to show how good that combo can be.

When you say Penny Arcade guys, do you mean "from the forums" or actually Mike, Jerry, Kiko and the likes? Because I'd be willing to get off my arse and send it to repair if I got to play a couple of rounds with them.

Dudes from the forums.
I have played a couple rounds of Halo with Mike and Jerry though. I don't expect that to ever happen again though.

I just bought a widescreen display (LG L227WTG-PF) and now I have to turn the settings  down :( Great. There's a bug in FF that manifests as me not being able to send a carriage return.

i think i found my new favorite weapon/perk combo.

m16 w/silencer & stopping power

the rest depends on situation/personal preference. it's almost not even fair how easy it is to take people the fuck out. it works espescially well in Chinatown.

Also I would like to point out that the combination of Sailor Moon and faux-Kerouac / Sonic Youth spelling is perhaps the purest distillation of what this forum is that we have yet been presented with.

I'm new to this forum, just started reading QC a week ago, now I'm all up to date. Love J's work.

Since I love gaming, I decided to make my first post here and... I am currently enjoying CoD4.

I made a little frag video, it'd be appreciated if you gave a bit if your time to watch this, I swear it's worth your while :D
Be great if you could drop a comment, thanks :D
