Looking to the list, it looks like the games they can't sell at normal price, so they're holding a bullshit event to try and pawn them off as deals

It makes me sad that Valkyria Chronicles is already getting clearanced, because pretty much everybody I've seen loves it. I'm tempted to buy it at this price even though I don't have a PS3, because if I buy a PS3 down the line I know I'll want that game, and by that point it may have already become rare and prices will be inflated.

Nope, that Battle Chest for DII runs from $30-$40 still, which is pretty ridiculous since the game is closing in on being ancient as far as games go. I mean, it's still one of my all time favorites but I can't see the uninitiated getting drawn in at anything more than $20.

Yeah, I just paid $40 for the Diablo II battlechest last year and, honestly, I'd still say it's worth the money. It's just one of the single best PC games of all time.

I'm considering the Warcraft III battlechest, as I've never actually played the game and have become a WoW addict anyway.

What's this "free wired controller promo" thing with GH: Aerosmith? I'm loath to buy that game, but if I can get an extra GH controller for $10, it might be worth the trouble if I go down there for WC III anyway.

Yeah, I'm seriously considering picking up the battle chests again since I can't find my discs and it'd be nice to have some older games to toss on my decrepit laptop. God knows I already have thrown obscene amounts of money at Blizzard already anyway and I'm pretty staunch in my anti-piracy position. Also, if I'm finally going to try a Persona game, $20 sounds like the way to go about it.

And yeah, the Valkyria Chronicles thing bums me out and makes me wish I had a PS3. Christ, I wish that thing didn't cost like a hojillion dollars I'd be all over Ratchet and Clank and VC if it weren't for that.

Do it. Being able to talk about them with somebody other than Cory will be nice. FES is a good one to start with too, it's easier to play that and move up to 4 than going backwards.

History Channel Civil War: Secret Mission and Medieval 2 Total War Gold.  Medieval 2 was still in shrink wrap.

I would have gotten the Resident Evil collection, but I forgot that during this sale some stores open EVERY COPY of the console games on sale and crams the disks into paper sleeves and scratches the hell out of them because the people that work their don't know how to handle optical media or don't get paid enough to care.

I have no freaking clue how the hell someone manages to scratch a disk that badly just by putting it into a paper sleeve.
