LCD Soundsystem Remixes
« on: 13 Nov 2007, 20:29 »

Jesus, the Soulwax remix of "Get Innocuous" is destructive when played at high volume.

Also the Franz Ferdinand cover of "All My Friends" is the best song they never wrote.

i think any cover of an LCD song is almost always gonna be the best thing they ever perform- unless you're like Pavement or something.

I have been loving this since it dropped in September.

Come on Jeph, get in the game.

Since I am listening through the Someone Great Single/EP-thingy I will just provide running commentary.

The "Sound of Silver" Carl Craig remix is pretty sweet.
The "Us V Them" Windsurf remix is pretty dull.
The Gucci Soundsystem remix of "Time to Get Away" would be better if they'd broken down the song a little more.
"Us V Them" live sounds like, uh, well basically the original.

I love most Soulwax remixes, and this one is particularly great (thanks to adam for linking it)! It basically turns up the kraftwerk

The Franz Ferdinand one hearkens back to their first record which makes it A++ material automatically.

Since everyone seems to be searching for this, I figured I'd do my part to help a forum that has given me so much music in the past.

LCD Soundsystem Remixes (A Bunch of Stuff EP)

Edit: There might or might not be a password associated with this rar file (I can't figure out how to stop default passwords in winRAR).  If there is it is 'bigshot'.

They are quite similar!

This is the picture that The Superficial is using for all their Britney-related headlines and for some reason I think it's the funniest damn thing.

It downloads fine, but when I go to unzip it it just says "error, error error"

Maybe try recompressing? Sorry for being needy, but I need this record.

My other harddrive seems to have died =( but on this one I have one LCD Soundsystem not on the Someone Great EP, Soulwax's Shibuya Re-Remix of 'Daft Punk Is Playing At My House'. It is pretty darn good! I also have the plain ol' Shibuya Remix if someone wants it, i guess.

I thought I was alone in thinking the cover All My Friends was amazing.
But really, that's the only song mentioned that really stands out to me.
