Gimme some more of that ol' ultraviolence!

Seriously this looks pretty rad. Interesting that in revisiting his old characters Stallone is trying to resurrect them from the ridiculousness that plagued their later films and say something meaningful with them - in this instance, that it's a mistake to choose conflicts based on convenience rather than actual justice. As long as he doesn't try the same with Cliffhanger I'm happy.

oh sweet baby jesus, did the rambo movies always used to be this violent?

I have to say wen I first heard about this it was more as a joke in protest of the new Rocky movie, and i was hoping it would stay a joke if they did it like the newest Rocky movie.  But now, seeing the trailer in all of it's super violent glory, I am happy.

Ah, exploding arrows, be heading, and people exploding, I am truly content

I'm just waiting for the memes.

Some possible ideas for names of future Stallone movies:

Freddy Heflin
Joseph Dredd
Gabe Walker
John Spartan

Demolition Man was surprisingly good. Some weird social commentary, and funny when it was supposed to be, more or less.  Even having Sandra Bullock as the airhead rookie didn't ruin the movie. Too bad Simon Pheonix won't be back.  They'll have to come up with a bad guy to rival him, or the movie will automatically be weaker.

Wesley Snipes was amazing in Demo man. He's just so completely psychotic throughout the whole thing. Possibly the best thing he's ever done. And the only role in which he kinda acts instead of strutting around looking badass for 120 minutes (note: this is not a criticism of any films in which he does this).

YES! The return of the exploding arrows!

Has anyone seen "Born to Fight" I swear that some of the actors in that trailer are from the movie.... Especially the first person he decapitated.

It looks like the same village layout too....

Another Demolition man movie?

We need another Bloodsport movie...

"OH WOW! He just totally sliced that dudes head off!"
"He just shot that guy so hard he exploded!"
"That arrow knocked that guy several feet!"
"That guys guts are gonna pour out!"

"...oh, it's the trailer for the new Rambo."

First Blood buddy guy. Also, there is no way that this movie could ever possibly be bad.

"You bring any weapons?"
"Of course not!"
"Then you ain't changin' nothin'"

vv .........i see! well now i'm feeling quite sheepish.

He was referring to Wesley Snipes's lack of acting.

Of course. Because they wouldn't want people to see the trailer for their new film illegally, right?

I am talking about a lot of drinking and "FUCK YEAH" yelling. I might actually die if I attempt to do both. At the very least it'll send me into the poor house.

Resurrecting this thread because I have seen two trailers for this film and they are both awful.  The acting looks so shit-house that in the first trailer they do that thing where they flash from scene to scene to make things look more interesting/less crap.  From what I can gather Rambo is jaded and doesn't seem to think anything can make a difference to the war that is going on, but then he's pushed into saving a bunch of yanks.

In the second trailer they play "Let the bodies hit the floor" and Rambo is gung-ho and everything is exploding.

The two trailers are completely different, but the tackiness of the titles of both and the woodenness of the acting makes me believe that this is not even going to be a decent "things exploding" movie.  It is going to suck.

I just watched a trailer again and I can't see where you're coming from on this.

The acting doesn't look terrible and a dude is shot so hard he explodes.

I could see this being a good movie, as action flicks go, but when I saw the "bodies" trailer, I thought it was a fan-made trailer or something, it was the same footage as the other trailer I saw, and Rambo really doesn't seem to go with nu-metal, but that just may be me.

Out of curiosity, was I the only person to laugh a bit when reloading was mentioned in the trailer?
