Zombie Dogs Part Two: The Prequel
« on: 14 Jan 2008, 21:33 »

I'm sure you all remember the last time we discovered zombie dogs here, but I just uncovered some old footage that reveals that it may not have been an isolated case.

Don't click if you like dogs.

Although the footage is likely faked, these experiments really did happen. The fact that they were able to keep a dog's head alive without a body for even just a few minutes is absolutely amazing.
Here is an image of the experiment that was not in the film, which was probably staged. It's quite distressing, but still, incredible.

Yeah, the heads alone looked extremely fake. Not only because of the obvious low quality of the film (inescapable as it may be due to the time period during which it was shot) but because until I see a backside to that head with all of the tubes going in it I'm not going to believe it.

But yeah, that video disgusted me.

Five bucks to whoever makes a montage of this with "The Doggie Bounce" in the background.

I just woke up, and I decided, "Man, a bowl of ramen sounds great right about now!"

Long story short: Thanks for making my waste a thing of ramen. :(

I wasn't aware I had to make my 1000 post be something epic, nor was I aware of the fact that I was anywhere near 1000. To be honest, thats a little depressing. How much of my time have I wasted on the internet?

I watched this last night, and honestly it was really facinating. Knowing that it's a fake video, but the experiments are real is amazing, and it's incredible to think that they could sustain the life of the head of a dog for a few minutes by just pumping blood into it. Also, if it actually responded to stimuli like the citric acid and licked it's nose, it's just amazing.

But i feel bad for the poor dogs who were put through all this. I know it helped pave the way for transplants and the like, but draining all the blood from a dog, then pumping it back in through a machine and then stitching it back together, only for it to die a few days later. Sad, but really intriguing.
