I have a YouTube account also, but I mainly subscribe to musicians. The only vlogger I have on my list is William Sledd, a.k.a. Ask a Gay Man, because he is hilarious.

Here is me.

I just really wish they had come up with a different name for them. Same with blogs. To me, "vlog" and "blog" just really sound like someone throwing up.

I hate 98% percent of vloggers. Most of them seem to get the impression that swearing every third word is a substitute for actual content. I may swear a lot myself, but I don't pretend to be relevant to anything. If you actually throw some content in there without your swearing every third word, we'll talk, otherwise all vloggers should be shot in the face.

for a second i thought this thread was about v-log, the program that i use to monitor the temperature of the incubators, refrigerators, and freezers in the lab. then i clicked it and was disappointed. i really wanted to talk about temperature monitoring systems.

seriously guys. v-log makes my life so much easier. instead of reading and recording 50 thermometers twice a day, the loggers record the temperature every 15 minutes and then automatically graph it for me when i transfer it to the computer. genius!

Science for the efficient.

Out of curiosity, do the thermometers drift out of calibration? I'm really not sure why I'm concerned about this. I mean, I know that it'll show trends in your data that aren't there if it does happen and you don't compensate for it and I can see why that's an issue; but I'm not sure why I'm terribly concerned about this particular situation.

depends on the type of thermometer, but yes... thermometers can become less accurate over time. our mercury and other liquid-in-glass thermometers get calibrated annually and have a correction factor to ensure continued accurate readings.

Well, I guess it really depends on what mood I am in, but vanilla is really the only reliable flavour. Like, if I am not gungho for moose tracks that day and I have some, it might be less than awesome, whereas I will certainly always be happy with vanilla.

Damn skippy.  I like chocolate sauce, whipped cream, and when there's none of that stuff, I sprinkle Ovaltine onto my ice cream.  Yes, I am aware Ovaltine is for milk, but I like it on my ice cream, damnit.

I approve of this thread hijacking idea. It seems novel.

On the new subject at hand: I dig ice cream.

In terms of flavors, I love two in particular. Your standard chocolate is fantastic if you're limited, but I absolutely love anything with peanut butter in it. Breyer's makes a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup variety which is epic.

I like various toppings. In particular, I like M&Ms on my ice cream. Magic shell is awesome too. One time, I accidentally grabbed the pecan variety and damn near choked myself to death via allergic reaction. Good times.

And the variety I like between soft and scoop depends on where I am and what I'm doing. If I'm somewhere where cone is a more practical option, I'll go soft serve. For some reason, I prefer soft in a cone. In a cup, though, it's scoops all the way. Scoops covered in M&Ms and jimmies and peanut butter and glarghuuuuuuuhhhh.

Guys, I think I'm going to go eat all the ice cream Rachel left in my freezer now. What valuable lesson has she learned?

My university has soft serve ice cream machines in the dining centers. Once every week or so they have toppings out for the ice cream and it's stuff like crushed Oreos and nuts and caramel and berries and all that jazz. Those are good days.

I like chocolate chip and any variant on it. Mint, raspberry, peanut butter, cherry cordial, etc. They are all delicious. Especially when they are from this place. If you ever come to Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky and don't visit this place, you are crazy and are not allowed to come back.

It has already been below zero. Last week one day had a high of fifteen below. I may or may not have had ice cream at the time.

Also the peeing standing up is nothing special, pretty sure most women could do it if they tried.
