Every time we talk about biscuits, this raisin argument always comes up. Let's just say that some people like raisins, and some people don't, and people in one group think that the others are fools for liking/not liking raisins. We don't have to agree, let's just pretend to respect one another's positions.

Raisins are still manky.

My bad. I was just saying, in the grand scheme of things bacon is no weirder to me than anything else people routinely put into cookies.

Seriously, people. Why would you want to ruin delicious yummy grapes by turning them into gross raisins?

I've harbored a secret hatred for raisins ever since age three, when I found out they are NOT, in fact, "nature's candy" as I was led to believe.

Also...I'm definitely making those gummi bears and either putting them on an ice cream sundae or going to a movie matinee of something like the water horse, I can't decide which at the moment.

Now I have to wonder what kinds of things you see people putting into cookies on a regular basis that makes bacon not stand out.
dude, after we hijacked this thread for half a page, how could you not know what I was talking about?

Maybe they just don't think raisins are weird in food! I don't! But this is turning into the pro-raisin/anti-raisin debate.

What else do you think is weird? My mom thought I was weird for eating a peanut butter and nuttella sammich for desert once, even though it was one of the best things ever and I don't see it as weird. But she thinks nuttella is weird.

In a similar vein, I loves me peanut butter and banana sandwiches. Anyone else like peanut butter and banana sandwiches?

I don't like peanut butter or peanuts at all. Peanut butter with anything is therefor something I do not like!
I also hate lamb with mint sauce. Seriously grandma, why do you do that to me? I already brushed my teeth.

I'm trying to think of weird combinations that I do like, but I can't think of anything.

I love peanut butter and banana sandwiches but rarely get to have them cause there's never any bananas in the house.

Omnomnom grilled/fried bananas too.

Chips and chocolate sauce. (And this is chips in the proper sense rather than the crisps sense.)

Peanut butter tastes good with lots of things. But someone I knew (I forget who) used to eat peanut butter and tuna sandwiches. The idea of the combination, let alone the smell of the two mixed together, was kind of nauseating.

Things peanut butter goes with:
jelly/jam, preferably strawberry
nutella
marshmallows/fluff
chocolate
fruit, especially apples and bananas
celery and raisins (ants on a log!)
crackers and various bread types
ice cream and milkshakes
and, according to Misconception, pickles, but I severely doubt this combination

There was a special at this diner near my best friend's house: grilled fluffernutter and banana sandwiches.  I wanted to try one so badly, but the pancakes that they serve are heaven on earth and I didn't want to miss out on the pancake action.  I regret my decision now, but the pancakes were delicious at any rate.

(For those of you who are unfamiliar with the phenomenon that is a fluffernutter sandwich - it is peanut butter and marshmallow fluff.)

There's a bagel shop near my friend's campus that steams all of their sandwiches and one of them is peanut butter and bananas. Very delicious, but very messy, as the peanut butter gets melty and therefore all over your hands.

One of my exes used to rave about peanut butter on blueberry muffins all the damn time, and I like peanut butter a lot, and I love blueberry muffins, so I tried it once. It was strange because it didn't actually smoosh together into a new unique flavour but simply tasted like peanut butter and blueberry muffins which you just don't eat together. It was unremarkable other than that.

A phenomena I found a while back that no one believes me when I tell them it is delicious till they try it: Peanut Butter and Ham sandwich.

It seems like a pretty common thing to do to dip fries in your Sundae at MaccyD's.

Dipping fries in chocolate shakes at In-n-Out is better!

Primarily because then they aren't McDonald's fries... and it's an In-N-Out shake!  Those are two major upgrades.

Pickles are gross!

If you live near a Wendy's, or know what that is, do you understand the reasoning behind dipping fries in frosties? (Fries in chocolate milkshake/malt.) I tried it, but think it's a very strange combo.
