Bachman (back) Turner Overdrive
« on: 11 Apr 2008, 15:13 »

My dad introduced me to the greatest Canadian band of all time a couple years ago, and for some reason, nobody I know has yet heard of Bachman Turner Overdrive.

Without looking them up, has anyone else heard of them?

I named one of my EPs as a pun on their name (Huxley Orwell Overdrive) but I don't think I have ever really heard anything by them.

I love two albums by The Guess Who.

Bits of them anyhow.

I have a friend who worked with a guy whose mom dated one of the guys in Backman Turner Overdrive. True story. Also, she dated the Ultimate Warrior.

I know of them, not a big fan or anything, though.

Bachman Turner Overdrive never really did anything for me.  The Guess Who, on the other hand, had a few great albums and a large number of great songs.

I enjoyed "Let it Ride" due to I like Acoustic and it had some good Acoustic in the song.

But onther then that, they don't reach high on my "Greatest Canadian Band". Broken Social Scene has already moved in and are happy.
