Bad cartoons you remember growing up! GO!
Captain Planet, Dungeons and Dragons, and Legend of Zelda: The Animated Series are some epically bad ones that come to mind.

Changed the thread topic, so that people don't have to open the thread to find out what it's about. Because that's a pet peeve of mine. Thankyou! - Inlander.

You know what is fun? Lurking. Yep. Especially when you are new. It's nice to ease your feet into the sea before taking a big plunge. To get a feel for the water. Lurking is a lot like that. Maybe you should give it a try! No one likes to dive into a big pool of water, before testing the water, only to discover that not only is it ice cold, but also very very shallow. That could even be dangerous!

Also, you may want to take a gander at the Hi, I'm New! forum. It is a great place for new people like yourself. Very helpful too.

Hey here's an idea, how about instead of just looking at how many stars are next to my name you actually read the post and possibly add your input related to saturday morning cartoons! What do you think about that idea?
I can understand giving me hell when I actually am being a stupid newb but this is just newb bashing for the sake of newb bashing.

I am sorry that you read my post as bashing. I was honestly trying to be helpful! Please reread it, and look into the things I suggested doing. It is almost required that all new members at least read the Hi, I'm New! forum, and/or lurk. Lurking will honestly help you get feel for the board. As with ever webboard, this one is quite unique! We do things differently around here, and it is frowned upon when someone new starts making a number of threads. Honestly, the Hi, I'm New! forum is filled with helpful hint for new posters, like yourself.

Lurking is good. It can be okay to jump right in with the posts, but if you don't create a thread in Hi I'm New people will notice and call you out on it.

Also, it's kind of the unwritten rule that newbs don't start topics unless you have a really good idea and a fantastic first post to start it off. This topic, to me, gets about 6/10 for idea and 3/10 for execution of that idea. I would also like to share with you that I have been a member for a year now and I've started a total of six threads, including my intro in Hi I'm New. You have been here for less than two weeks and you've already started three topics.

Slow down. Ease into things. It's the best way to get people to like you so you can post topics like this later and not get flamed for it.

Also, on and unrelated and unproven note, I think people will take you more seriously once you get an avatar. Just saying.

Yeah, stop listing cartoons that were fun.

I think it was called Shark Attack! but whatever it was it felt like a ripoff of TMNT. It was definitely bad.

I don't really remember watching any cartoons that were actually terrible at the time.

However I'm pretty sure if I went back to any of them now I'd probably be embarrassed by the thought that I not only watched this but actually loved it at the time.*

*The obvious exception to this rule being Batman: The Animated Series, that remains kick ass to this day, I really need to pick up the rest of the dvds.

Don't knock the first season or so of Ghostbusters. That actually holds up surprisingly well for '80s cartoon fare. It went down the shitter one they put more emphasis on Slimer, but the oldest episodes are actually kind of fun.

Not even Mr T's cartoon was that bad.  And that show really pissed me off cause it got me to buy that goddamn cereal.... Heat it up in the microwave my ass, it tasted just as shitty hot as cold.

I think Dissy is referring to the mid 90's Ghostbusters remake, the only origional team members where Egon on the secretary and Egon stayed iin the headquaters being boss-man. Also there was a Ghostbuster in a fucking wheel-chair...what the crap I'm all for pushing the handy-capable thing but you just know there was a retarded kid out there who because of The New Ghostbusters was totally crushed when his application to join the police or firemen or NASA got turned down cause he's retarded.

Also anyone remember that one show that had Micheal Jordan, Wayne Gretzky and some other sports star fighting crime and solving mysteries or some crap? That was one for the big book of shitty cartoons that should never have existed.

Also, the captial K in the weird places is MY idea.

But seriously, I only watched the good shows back then. The Sonic the Hedgehog Animated Series (I dare say a spiritual precursor to the format and style of Firefly) [note -- NOT Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, which I didn't like as much], Captain Planet, TMNT, Swat Kats, etc. I'm sure I'm forgetting some.

But I also liked the Impossibles, the old Hannah-Barbara series that re-aired on Cartoon Network. That's one I'm not sure why I liked.

I watched that show too and it used to be on TV as soon as I got home from school.  It needs a DVD release.
Pizza Cats intro: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bXiJYcK4-GU

Anyone in the UK remember The Trap Door?  I love the sound effects and Drutt is legendary.  Here is one of my favourites, although it's probably the reason I'm scared of spiders: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cIDXJXGORC4

I watched most of the shows already mentioned and I recently got M.A.S.K. on DVD.
Working overtime, fighting crime, FIGHTING CRIME!: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M0BzBFWt8V8

The 80's and early 90's really produced some great cartoons and a lot of them have been released on DVD.  I even saw Dino Riders has been released!

Oh, no you did NOT!
Almost (ALMOST) all Nick Toons are inevitably awesome. You are lame.

The exception to this rule is Angry Beavers (which, sadly, I could never look away from...) (And there are others, that I probably never saw)
OLDER cartoons that make me go "Whaaaat?" are GUMMIE BEARS! My sister rented the ENTIRE SERIES from the library a few weekends ago and I was forced to watch like 15 episodes in a ROW...aaaaaaaah.
