I've been messing around with Demo's, reviews and forum threads concerning which PC mapping program to get for my Tabletop games, and I'm completely lost. The amount of bitching and flaming concerning the different programs is on the level of a Console Wars thread.
I'm not an artistically talented person at all and from what I can decipher from the threads discussing it this can make a difference in my choice.
I've managed to narrow it down to one of 2 I think, but suggestions are always a good thing.
Camapaign Cartographer 3
Fractal Mapper 8.0
These are what I'm leaning towards, with a bit more of a lean to Fractal Mapper just due to the learning curve of CC3 and the fact they seem to have a nasty habit of selling the manual for the program separately and at a ridiculous price, otherwise I'm hearing a ton of good things about both programs.
