Well, today's April fools' day sees several webcomics going abroad... QC being one of them.
And apart from XKCD you can also reach QC via the RSS... That did it for me.

I was totally going to blast and complain on the forum! I was so proud when I figured out that I didn't have to silently fume to myself because there was a forum to it! But it's April Fools... but I'm on the west coast! It's still March 31st. Oh wait.. It's 12:07.. Damn.

if you put in questionablecontent.net you get dinosaur comics
if you put in qwantz.com you get xkcd
if you put in xkcd.com you get QC

get it?

Personally, I'm glad to see that web comics haven't tired of April Fool's jokes.

And I think you are confusing actual science with homeopathy.

(Though if anyone makes millions on homeopathic donut water, someone is due some royalties...)

Oh, yeah... I have no problem with a little switcheroo for April Fool's :)

Just wasn't quite ready for it when I posted.  Down with Time Zones!

Pausing all the featured youtube videos at 1 minute 4 second mark then writing down what appears at that mark will lead to a special site.
Start from the top and work to the bottom.

Great prank, Jeph! It's a good thing I save the links for all of the other webcomics you link to ^.^

I saw Qwantz written at the bottom, went to Qwantz.com, and when I found xkcd on that page, I jumped to xkcd.com and there you were ^.^

Not bad considering I'm running on pop tarts and almost no sleep, lol

I guess I could have just gone to the forum through the link I saved to it first, but I wanted to figure it out myself. Where's the fun in asking someone else to solve a puzzle for you?

I did it the more obvious way: I googled for the first QC comic and got to the correct site like that. :)

Hehe... took me about 30 seconds of thinking whf!?! and head scratching to realize it's april 1st.
I even googled the site to see if my bookmark had misteriously changed overnight  :-P

Funny prank

I was like 'what the fuck, I clicked on dinosaur comics, not xkcd'. Then I noticed the other sites had it switched around too.

Everything fell into place.

Long term lurker here, I just had to sign up and post what I thought had happened.

I figured it out pretty quickly, and thought it was some sort of cross-comic promotion thing, introducing people to new webcomics that they may not read already. I thought it was quite clever at the time, and only realised it was an April Fool's prank when I read this thread :P

That is such a good prank.
I'm afraid I figured it out pretty quick. I read qwantz first though. I thought you might have put clues in the comics but never mind.

Someone send all three of these comic draw-er-er guys bowls of cheerios with salt on it and cold coffee. It is not nice to make a girl scratch her head at 5:21 AM after working a shift where all her customers played pranks on her! :'( I just wanted my QC fix!

Sadly all three were in my quick links and I easily figured it all out... ^^;; Because it's QC, dinosaur comics, then xkcd... At first I thought my computer had decided to move all my links one to the right... :o

Tom Dickson threw xkcd, Dinosaur Comics, and QC into one of his blenders and pushed the 'smoothie' button. Webcomics do, in fact, blend, and we're looking at the result.

Just don't breathe the comedy smoke.

No, wait... that would result in something like this:

Kind of reminds me of the time a bunch of newspaper comic artists did guest strips for each other. Nice one! It was definitely unexpected.

^ Yeah, I was reminded of that too. Awesomely classic move indeed.

A set of guest strips just wouldn't be as cool because they're rather typical as it goes.

But I didn't let people know it was a Rickroll.

I was like awww when I opened up qc and I saw something else.  I realized it was an april fools joke right away but wasn't smart enough to figure out that maybe they just did a switcheroo.  My boyfriend was like "you should check out xkcd today. i think you'll like it"  so i was like okay. *checks xkcd* ooooo qc!!!!

yeag qc is the only webcomic i ever really read so i didnt think to check other ones.

I registered just to be able to bitch about the switcheroo: I don't appreciate my QC fix being messed with. I canceled my dino comix feed as a small protest, and won't be reading it any more. I only discovered QC (via Stumble) very recently, and feverishly ran through the entire series, and am now limited to one a day; didn't appreciate having my ration cut. Was eventually able to get to the 4-1 strip, but the irritation lingers. No more dinos. Ever.

It was a great joke!

Of course, it was funnier when I did it with a neighboring BBS back in the days of dial up BBS.

I thought it was a cute April Fool's thing between the 3 comics. I actually started reading QC because of trying to get to xkcd that day (and yes, I have now read all of QC thus far)
