wow, *tips hat*

Well, i got directed here 2 days ago (on April Fools Day, haha XKCD) and thought that the days comic looked good. So i made the decision to go back to the very beginning and give this comic a read. That was, quite honestly, one of the BIGGEST mistakes i have EVER made in my life. seriously.

It took me two evenings to read the ENTIRE archive. I'm serious, i read all of them. And now, i'm depressed. Because i have to wait daily for my bloody fix. I want the entire cartoon finished NOW. it's too excellent for me to wait, i wanna know what happens to everybody now, because since April 1st i have spent 8 solid hours hooked on this amazing comic. i love the storyline, i love the characters, and, more recently, have come to love the most excellently developed graphics. Seriously Jeph should publish or something, because i have read MUCH worse comics, and there isn't one modern comic I have read and liked more. Thankyou for reading my little information spike.

Props to Jeph for making this amazing cartoon. If he ever tries to stop i will fly to America to make him change his mind

I know *exactly* what you mean.

I did it, maybe, 3 days ago? I got really annoyed when I noticed it was copyrighted to 2008, because that meant I was running out.

yer, it made me feel so sad watching the copyright go slowly upwards. Thing is, when i was finished, i forgot that the drawing style had changed, i was that immersed. I only noticed it when i went back and thought 'that wasn't what i saw!'

Lol, well in was in school, so thems finding out i was reading slightly rude comics in the vicinity of 11 year olds, while i'm meant to be doing work, wasn't the best thing for me to do. But i still LOLed at home. It really is an amazing cartoon, sooo entertaining.

And as so many people have said on these forums, the art has gotten soooo much better. i onyl wish i had the time/money/skill to draw like that.

Yeah, we'll have to leave it to Jeph to draw for us.

And us noobies have gotta stick together. If these are anything like the WoW forums, we could be in trouble here, kid.

Just make up for it with tequila. Then you get your own comic strip, and you even get one of Jeph's characters!

How about rewriting the actual 12-step jargon and replacing things with Hannelore, or QC?

1) We admitted we were powerless over alcohol Hanners--that our lives had become unmanageable.

@ Glor I didnt get that, due to I dont find the cartoon characters hot.

But something about her switchs off something in your brain and says "Hug her!" Strangly I get the same feeling when I see a cute puppy.

I don't think any of them are hot. I'm a girl, and straight (I don't hate anyone who's not, though.)
But in awesomeness, I think Hanners far surpasses Faye.

Hanners isn't exactly anorexic, she's just skinny. I don't think saying she's attractive is perverted.

IF they were real people, then I could see it - but no, there's really nothing attractive about the way a cartoon looks. None of them.

One thing I don't get.... why is it acceptable to display any emotion regarding cartoons, including anger at poor choices characters make, happiness when good things happen to them, enjoyment from reading their story, revulsion at a character drawn 'ugly' or 'dirty', or even using gender-specific words like "he" and "she" to describe collections of ink and paint, but as soon as the emotion expressed is attraction, people come out of the woodwork to piss and moan about it?

The same reasons that people have emotional reactions to any piece of fiction, whether it be written, acted, or drawn.

It's called "willing suspension of disbelief" and it's part of what makes us human.

Seriously. People say CAD's art is stagnant, but in the same amount of time it's been around, Penny Arcade has barely changed.

I like Hannelore the best, and it took me about a week to go through the entire archive but that was because I had to split it up between other stuff. But it was a good bit of reading none the less, I actually tried to use as a book report because I was lazy and didn't want to go to the library.

I agree, on April 1st I started reading this comic and now I can't stop.  I stayed up well into the night reading it and finished it in three days, after ignoring many of my own basic needs.

I estimated that there would have to be about 400 comics a day to satisfy my craving.
