The Birthday Cake is a Lie (Pics Ahoy)
« on: 06 Apr 2008, 11:53 »

Yesterday was my birthday and we were also having our weekly gaming night. Normal geeky things were abound and we were enjoying ourselves.

Now my fiance makes me a birthday cake every year and she always makes it some amazingly geeky theme that I always love. Here are some examples:

The Invader Zim rubber piggy:

Tentacly Goodness:

Cthulhu again:

This year she made me the Portal cake.

Now, this cake was awesome. A friend went to cut the cake and Kat ran to the computer and hit play on Winamp...

I can't possibly explain the look on people's faces, but god it was amazing.

When people write fiancé without the accent I always pronounce it 'fee-anse'. It's really annoying.

Also fantastic birthday events! Thank you for reminding me of something as well.

Delicious and Moist

Seriously, though, dude, keep her. Hog tie her if you must.

I'm only 7 weeks from forcing her into a contractually binding relationship actually!

Am I the only person who doesn't quite understand how that one worked?

The Portal cake was a Hat Box that she cut down to a more reasonable size and beat on to make it look a little less perfectly shaped before frosting it.

I knew the cake didn't look quite right, but I did not expect to see someone get rickrolled by a cake.

edit: And man... I tried to listen to that song just now, got one minute in before giving up.

Not nearly as impressive as those shown above, but it tasted fantastic. It was golden cake with chocolate frosting lined with strawberry Fruit Roll-Ups.

If I make the movie I imagined where the blue piece confronts the pink piece when more pieces appear in the car, shouting "I thought you were on the pill!", would I win?

For á, é, í, ó, ú for some reason, you can use the easier Alt-Gr + vowel.
