Would "Where do you work?" be too predictable?

Nah.

It would just be highly unwise to give out my workplace location. There might be inquiries and then I'd get fired and then I'd be a saaaad panda.

I might just take up some guy on their offer and go back to their room with them ( I work at a hotel) and if I get fired for it, so be it.

This actually happens?? I thought it was just one of those faux-typical plot cliches that were created to get two people together in a story.
Why don't interesting things like this ever happen to me? I do things...I go places...no one ever hits on me.  Gah!

Does my enjoyment of UFC clash with A)My having ladyparts and B) Enjoying stuff like QC? Eh?

Absolutely not, my roommate and I are right there with you.  That's two girls.  Who love pounding and seeing teeth fly.

And guys with really hot bodies, regardless of muscle mass preferences.

Congrats on being a WINNER, PQ4!  I wish I won writing contests.

Thanks. It is pretty cool. It was just a small competition on campus, but I got my work published in a reputable way (which was a New Years Goal!) and $50, so it was pretty great. Now I have enough courage to send out some of my stuff to magazines, other contests, and eventually publishers (...some day).

Same here.

Today I took an exam which I probably got a C on and I talked a lot about animals with a friend after said exam because animals are more interesting than my oceanography class.

Today I realized I was getting long winded in an essay test for biology when talking about reproduction and used the phrase "junk juice." I'm pretty sure I got that question wrong anyway.

Today I became a grownup and accepted a job offer*!  I even set a start date that allows me to take a two week vacation to Hawai'i!  The whole world celebrates with me!  The sun shines!  The birds sing!  The trees are in fragrant bloom!

I'm just a little excited.  I now plan to get lightly to moderately drunk.

Not when it's through the geology department! I'm not even sure we'll be coving marine life or if we do, it'll only be a small part. The last three weeks have been things I either learned in high school bio (bacteria, algae, etc.) or the astronomy classes I took last year (birth of the solar system, oceans on other moons, birth of the planet).

Even though I know other wise, every time I hear "birth" in that context my hyper-imaginative inner child thinks the ripened and fell like fruit.

The first I heard about it was on the news. Maybe I just wasn't out and about early enough..

In other news, while I was waiting for my sandwich in the sandwich shop today, a lady started speaking to me in Italian. When I told her I didn't speak Italian, she replied "Oh, you're Spanish?"

Best inadvertent compliment ever.

Today i finished my Advanced higher physics investigation and drank far to much tea, i am now slightly jittery but happy with the fact that i don't have to worry about investigations anymore. I am also away to book flights to Amsterdam for the summer. Over all its been a good day apart from the fact that aol can fuck of and suck my balls because it can sense that the wireless internets are all around it BUT IT CANT FUCKING CONNECT YOU STUPID FUCKING RETARDED AOL.

Dear Blog Thread...

Last night, I did what I thought I would never do...

That's right.

I did it at work...I was off the clock but I could SO get fired for it. And there was a witness. Not to the act, but to the guy walking me to my room to 'protect' me from his drunk friend.

He says he'll call, but I don't think it's gonna happen.

Still, I feel strangely liberated. I think the healing from my broken, done relationship with my baby's daddy is about to begin.

I know the feeling, and yeah, that definitely sucks. I'd write something to cheer you up, but I'm not sure what, because I know exactly how utterly crappy it feels.

Today I vacuumed and cleaned my dorm room, which was good, but then I spent the rest of the day not doing anything at all, so blah. Stupid Sunday without the "right" football match.

Speaking of the "right" football match:

I called a pub in Cambridge on Wednesday to make sure they'd be showing Man United this weekend. They told me the game was Sunday at 11 AM.

I show up early to watch the second half of Newcastle-Sunderland (2-0), and eat breakfast, only to be told United played YESTERDAY and drew 1-1. Manchester CITY were on today.
