Before you laugh about including Hannelore as an option, remember her first meeting with Marten, where she called him on his fear of change and wy it made him content to keep trying with Faye.

Marten, on the other hand, can get pretty philosophical about things.

Dora gave Ellen some pretty good advice once.

Marten's mom saw where Faye was coming from and told Marten she'd need careful handling.

Tai is pretty much on the money analyzing the relationships in Marten's circle.

Raven and faye need to be added, but Hanners also is smart enough to give very effective advice, all from a level perspective

The Tequila Monster is the Wisest, he's given me a lot of good advice about the Stock Market. (He'll try to get you to buy fanatasy knifes, but that's a scam)

Dr. Corrine seems like the obvious choice, given that advice is basically what she's paid to give.

I went with Veronica Vance/Reed, though, for a somewhat counter-intuitive reason: She's the only character, that I can remember, anyway, who ever had sufficient insight to say that she might not be the best person to give advice.

That's a pretty good criterion.

Faye meets it too -- Dora asked her once whether she was being crazy in her relationship with Marten and Faye said something to the effect that going to her for advice about relationships was crazy. http://questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=970

I too am disappointed because of the absence of Raven on that list. In any case, I have decided to settle for good number two: the Makeout Hobo. We all know hobos have secret knowledge concerning everything.

I'd vote for either Marten or Hannelore.
I liked Hanners much more when she was first introduced to the comic. Whatever meds she was on before she needs to get more~
I think they're both insightful, and they're not going to tell you what you want to hear, but how it is.
Sometimes thats what you need the most, an outsider's view of the situation.
