My daughter went to school at Mount Holyoke College (in nearby South Hadley) so yeah, I've been in Northampton a number of times...but as ilubsweetbean points out above, the Northampton of QC is in an alternate universe, so I've never actually been THERE.

No, but this would give us an idea of just how accurate the setting is (the kind of people there, the kind of shops, etc.) With this we can get a sense of just how close to "realistic" Jeph is actually going with this comic. It's the little details like that that give us something to talk about besides  just whats in each new strip, though I still think we need to get a group working on a accurate timeline, would make speculating on the plot that much more accurate if we had one, wouldn't have to guess things like how long someone has known someone else, how long people have been dating, and the list goes on.
