Author Topic: Ever Considered Cafepress (or Another 3rd Party Merchandiser)?  (Read 3413 times)

After seeing all the threads that basically say "onoz it's been 6 to 8 weeks and I never got my stuff what the hell, people?!", I have a question for Jeph and Cristi:

Have you ever considered using a service like Cafepress for handling merchandise, instead of trying to do it all on your own?

Depending on how you set the price markups, there might be less profit per item. However, you could make up for this with more product variety (they offer everything from hats to mousepads), and since it's an integrated, well-established service you might get more orders. It would certainly be easier for you.

I don't know, just a thought. :| Anyone else have an opinion?

Cafepress items are of the poorest quality. We are currently talking to a t-shirt shipping company, and hopefully we will be switching over soon.
