I'm convinced I feel the earth shake here in the UK from time to time as well. It worries me that I live next to an old extinguished volcano. But then again, I might be paranoid.

We need to do another one of them map things with the digital pushpins. Someone start one of them again so we Australians can show QC how hard we are owning it.

You hit the "move this pin" button and type in the city, town, or wherever you live. It pinned me surprisingly close to where I live. It was weird.

I actually was thinking the other day "wouldn't it be nice if qc had a map thing so I could see where everyone lived? (because I am a creep)" Weird.

Does it just suggest a random place that it'd like you to live in? Or does it look to see where your internet juice is flowing from? Because I've never been to Stoke on Trent in my life but I'm aware that it exists in fairly close proximity to where I really live.

Also: I live near Wales (you can see from the map!) and we had an earthquake quite recently. Just a little one, a few roof tiles fell off and so forth. The weird thing was that I was in the old part of the house, my mum was in the new extension, and I was the only one who noticed it. Apparently the new bit has better foundations.

...Now that is a terrifying thought.

This is my favorite quote from that article:
Quote
''Oh, yeah, I felt it. It was interesting,'' Griswold said. ''A lot of shaking.''

...I don't think I've ever heard an earthquake described simply as "interesting".

Dude almost survived a demonic invasion. Nothing's going to upset Griswold.

Yeah, so there's four of us, five if you count Manda's boy like I do for some reason, even though I've never met him. And four for a state so small as Maryland I'd say is heavily represented.

And Patrick, its just all of the stuff on the mainland are within a half-hour. Gettin up into northwestern Maryland or over to the Eastern shore is almost painfully long for the distance in miles you're actually traveling.

Added myself--

Man, Wisconsin's actually pretty well represented. Although I live so far south that the state line with Illinois practically bisects my yellow marker thing.

Also, jhocking, you live relatively close to me. 'Bout an hour and a half.

I was hoping we'd having people from someplace exotic, like Djbouti. (Albania does not count, screw you Patrick.)

I actually thought the same, but that's only because whenever the word "shake" is used more than once in succession my girlfriend makes a reference to Mischief Makers. The one time I played that game I had absolutely no idea what I was doing and gave up after 5 minutes.
