People in bands from DC
« on: 23 Apr 2008, 12:52 »

Soooo, I am going to abuse the ability to post on this forum again, but the last time I did it led to filling a hole in my tour.

My band has a show in Washington, DC at the Red and Black on June 1st.  We need locals.  Is anyone on here in a band from DC or the surrounding area that might want to play?

This is my band www.myspace.com/inspectorowl

Sweet!

You can email me [email protected] or find me on AIM theoristb

Thanks!

but the music sucks because the keyboards don't have the cold/mechanical sound they had but a wannabe techno sound that it's pathetic for Rammstein standars.

Go back in time and kidnap Fugazi!

Fixed your post.

Go back in time and kidnap Q and Not U!

Fixed my post.

Go back in time and kidnap The Dismemberment Plan!

Fixed my post again.

Go back in time and kidnap... oh, forget this fucking meme, there are way too many good bands from DC.

Sorry about that.

In any case, you could throw a rock any distance from the Washington Monument and you could probably hit a good band. Hope something comes up for you, I'm not exactly being much help.

The problem with this is that there is a possibility you will hit Dag Nasty

I can't think of anything that fits your musical style.  I know of one band that is still underage and one that will be away on tour at that time.  Sorry.

If it's Can I Say era Dag Nasty then that would be awesome.

Did you catch their reunion shows in DC?  I was to broke to go which sucked, but a few of my friends flew out for it.

Lame, between my two bands I played with Travis Morrison Hellfighters and Statehood in March so it was kinda like playing with D Plan... but not really at all.

I know where Dave Smalley works out here in the fringe-burbs of the District.  I'm about to go out for lunch and could pop in his office on the way and ask him if he's busy that day.  Whatcha think?

Ok... I don't really associate with him.  His writings are a little too far right-leaning for my taste.  Which is scary, because normally I'm the right-leaning guy in the crowd, so that says something.
