Is Mr. Clean real in the QC-verse?
« on: 13 May 2008, 11:01 »

I checked the WCT, but no-one there has brought this up. So I thought I'd ask the question over here:

Is Mr. Clean a real person in the QC-verse?

Superheroes such as Pizza Girl and Chinese Delivery Man exist, as well as Anthro-PCs, space colonies, Vespavengers, combat robots and the like. Plus, Faye didn't respond "Mr. Clean isn't real"; her words were "I hate to tell you this, hon, but I'm pretty sure he's gay."

So what do you think? I'm aware that we don't have enough information to answer this question now. Still, a little wild speculation never hurts.

Doubtful, he's a idealization of a fantasy of a comic character.

He's no more real than I am.

Also, I think Faye was joking.

There's this really handy "other thing" I'm going to write as a footnote to my abstract that I can probably explore these issues in. I think I'll call it my "dissertation."

I'm gonna say no.  You should probably ask the author about these things, though

That's a good point.  If there's a Pizza Girl, and the Vespa-venger's bike could morph into a combat robot, Mr. Clean could be a real man in their world.

Hmm, interesting set up if he is real.
Walking down the street and then we get to see what Hanners looks like when she runs across Mr. Clean.
I want to see Hanners go fan-girl.

Ronald McDonald, the Burger King, the Michelin Man Uncle Sam, the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man-- they might all be real. Who can say? Only Jeph.

I'm pretty sure if the Burger King was real, I'd throw myself out a window.
I HATE THAT PLASTIC-FACED BASTARD.
He scares me more than any other fast food mascot. And they're all pretty gosh darned terrifying.

He's a fictional daydream of a fictional comic character.

If the two instances of fiction work like double negatives, that must mean he's real in the real world. :|

Ronald McDonald, the Burger King

Burger King's best advert consisted of the following slogan...

"Eat like a king, not like a clown."

Genius.

Mr. Clean is real in the real world. I've seen him several times in the mall shopping.

BritMonster, you're right! If he's real, maybe the other cast members are too.

I'm off to Massachusetts to find Coffee of Doom!
