I'm a little surprised no one said "Love Will Tear Us Apart." But I won't either.

DAY IN DAY OUT DAY IN DAY OUT
Basically, last week I was at a friend's house hanging out with a bunch of people and everyone was listless, necks were going limp and heads were sort of lolling to the side. I was annoyed cus it was my day off of work, so I plopped on the song and things picked up again. Me getting up and dancing all by myself also generated some giggles and conversation.

Oh! And that reminds me of a scene from the film Reprise, if anyone's seen it.  The key that turns a somewhat lame party into a totally awesome party is this song: Who took the bomp?

I forgot how awesome that Le Tigre song is.  Man, I heard that on a snowboarding video once, and it was sweet.

You know, right now I think the acoustic version of Born To Run is maybe the best thing ever.

We'll stay inside till somebody finds us, do whatever the TV tells us...

Every time I listen to this song it makes me feel the same way.  It, and the song after it on the album, remind me so much of the relationship I had with an ex and how it ended.  Cathartic, I reckon.

Agreed.

Most of this song doesn't really fit with the ALL CAPS song links we've been doing, I suppose, but then end does kick it a bit that way. Anyway: Are you asleep, are you in a dream?

Oh man, me too.  That song kicks ass regardless of how much AC/DC annoys the shit out of me.  I like this version better because it doesn't have the wailing screechy vocals of Bon Scott.

HEY KID, YA THINK THAT'S OIL? MAN, THAT AIN'T OIL...THAT'S BLOOD!!

It starts slow, the first few minutes--but keep watching. It has to be the live version of this song. The original is sub par compared to this version.

Bon Scott died in 1980 from alcohol poisoning.  AC/DC replaced him with Brian Johnson, who has really never been as good in my opinion.  Back in Black and Who Made Who were about the only good post-Bon Scott albums.

The only time I've enjoyed Thunderstruck has been in clubs where for some reason some DJs have taken to mixing bits of it into other songs that are actually good.  Bonde do Role mixed it into the background of a song during their show last week and it was pretty ace.

THIS IS WHAT A GOOD AC/DC CLIP LOOKS LIKE

It starts slow, the first few minutes--but keep watching. It has to be the live version of this song. The original is sub par compared to this version.

First thing I thought was: "Oh hey. This Bruce Springsteen song kind of reminds me of Tom Waits, only not as cool." But I suppose I haven't really given the dude a fair chance. The singles of his that still get radio play are not all that great and are sometimes annoying, but of course, this is probably not very representative of his work.

Before I stray too far from the subject, though: you'll never recognize yourself on-
you'll probably see someone you know on-
what you say you meet me down on-
you can see a million of 'em on-
you're waitin' for the rtd on- Heart Attack & Vine

I would have posted "Rome Is Bleeding" because it oozes the most sheer cool of any song I've ever heard, but the only recording I found was even more spoken word than the album version. Which isn't bad; just ain't what I'm going for. "Heart Attack and Vine" is still totally badass.

What? Screw that. I don't much care for AC/DC. I find them grating and annoying and unoriginal. That said, "You Shook Me All Night Long" is always a fun song.

I like Bon Scott era AC/DC but they're not for everyone and I wouldn't say they're as good as some people think.

They're pretty fun when you're drunk and playing pool and need something to throw on the jukebox.

So much! I always feel like Thin Lizzy are underservedly unsung aside from that one song though, which stings all the more because of the puzzling hype given to AC/DC.

Um... to guess at what you're confused about, Bon Scott died in 1980, which was before AC/DC did Thunderstruck... so, it is Brian Jophnson on vocals.  Also the version I posted was live, so Brian Johnson sounds about five times shittier than usual.
